Finally, some new things for the new season. Snap! Fall 2012 went just like *that*. I’m thrilled that Resort 2013 merchandise are trickling in… I bought this cute embellished sweater at 3.1 Phillip Lim store in Soho the other day. Obsessed with it.

I’m obsessed with Washington D.C. It is now, without any doubt, one of my favourite cities in America. My second favourite city actually, after my home, New York City. I must say I’m kind of disappointed with myself for waiting until NOW to visit the nation’s capital. Washington D.C. is gorgeous, it’s clean, it’s monumental, it’s powerful. You can feel the power in the air wherever you go. Everywhere you look is a fucking blog back drop waiting to happen. This city requires an extended stay (and a personal chauffeur and lots of outfits) in order to maximize the architecture for blog posts. I haven’t even left yet and I already can’t wait to visit again.

What was meant to be a 40-minute flight from NYC Laguardia to Washington Dulles airport turned into a seven hour nightmare — something about the weather, how they had to change planes, blah blah blah. I’m just happy I’m here in Washington DC. We left my apartment at around 2PM and it’s 10:38PM and I’ve just checked into my hotel room. I’m visiting to see my aunt who I haven’t seen in about two years and my cousins who I literally haven’t seen in almost two decades. It’s gonna be cray cray!

Washington DC Dulles airport looks like a Prada runway set, no? So major…

Meet the ‘Pierre’. It’s the new, limited-edition bag soon-to-be-released by Balmain in collaboration with the chic jewelry designer Aurelie Bidermann. Everything about this bag is pure perfection. I love the size (the bag can fit my day-to-day essentials plus my camera), the luxurious materials (love the suede and the ultra soft leather interiors) and of course, the faux ivory tooth detail. Easy, effortless and oh so cool…

With the exception of Williamsburg, IKEA and Brooklyn Crab in Red Hook, Brooklyn is pretty much uncharted territory for me. I really should explore this part of the city more often, considering some areas of it is just a few stops away on the subway from my place. I went to Brooklyn Heights earlier for lunch. That area is gorgeous! I’ve been told that many people from Manhattan move to Brooklyn Heights to start a family. Dude, where’s my pram? With its brownstones and tree-lined streets, Brooklyn Heights must be very pretty during the summer. I can’t wait to go back again. As long as I don’t see an army of hipsters, I’ll be fine.

You know how the old Christmas song goes… all I want for Christmas is YOU. For the past two years, I’ve celebrated Christmas day in Stockholm. This year, my beloved bf and I agreed that it’s his turn to come visit me in New York. Afterall, I’ve been living in the city for the almost half a year now and he still hasn’t seen my apartment beyond the realms of Skype. He arrived here yesterday afternoon — and I’m so happy he’s here! My Christmas Eve and Christmas day was amazing in every sense. OK, fine, all we need is a blanket of snow to make it perfect but you know what, nothing in this life is so I’m not gonna complain.
How did you spend your Christmas day? My boo and I hauled our carcasses out of my apartment and strolled around Central Park and around the Upper 70s and Park/Madison. I love this area of New York, so peaceful, quiet and the buildings are beautiful. Maybe this time next year or the year after, I’m gonna move into an apartment with a fireplace. We’ll see. I hope y’all are staying warm kiddies. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

Thank you so much for the award and the generous hospitality. Such an honor!

Imagine having Barney’s New York flagship all to YOURSELF? What would you get?
Happy holidays!

The lovely folks over at Molami (they make ultra chic headphones) asked a few questions about my obsession with fashion…
