Bonjour Paris! A personal favourite of mine, Valentino, will present their spring summer 2017 menswear fashion show later today. Tune in at 5:30PM Paris time (that’s 11:30AM New York time) and watch the fashion show LIVE! I’m also taking over their snapchat account so be sure to follow “MAISONVALENTINO” on snapchat.
Buongiorno Milano! Hello world! Don’t forget to watch the Gucci spring summer 2017 menswear fashion show today, LIVE, at 12:30PM Milan time (6:30AM New York Time). It’s the last dedicated Gucci menswear show before they unite and merge with women’s on February next year. Can’t wait to watch the show — and I hope that you do, too.
I’m currently in London and I thought it would be a great idea to courier a care package to my dad in the Philippines before I head to Milan for the menswear shows, just in time for Father’s Day. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is a terrific fragrance for men. The scent reminds me of a cocktail of lavender, Italian lemon and mandarin, crushed green leaves and a punch of pink pepper. The fragrance is a perfect Father’s Day gift to send — after all, Gucci recently held their recent Resort 2017 show at the Westminster Abbey. It all goes full circle, you see! ;-)
I wish I had the chance to visit Manila to see my dad regularly but alas, I only get to come home thrice a year because of my travel schedule. Thank god for social media and mobile apps. I may not see him often but I get to talk to him a lot on our family WhatsApp group chat.
Click HERE to buy the fragrance from Macy’s. It’s never too late to send your dad a Father’s Day gift!

Gucci recently released the second installment of their collaborative digital project dubbed “GucciGram Tian“.
They collaborated with various artists and illustrators around the Asia-Pacific region to bring a new perspective surrounding the gorgeous Gucci Tian print. Featuring hummingbirds, peacocks, monkeys, butterflies, tree branches and flower blooms, Tian was inspired by Western orientalist fantasies and 18th-century Chinoiserie.
What makes Gucci such a success these days is that Creative Director Alessandro Michele brought something that fashion hasn’t seen in recent years — a poetic love affair with eclecticism. Although there’s nothing absolutely new from taking things from the past (like most, if not all, designers do), there’s something refreshing about his very personal way of taking old world nostalgia and mixing it with cultural elements from different time periods. The result is an entirely new aesthetic that you can’t really quite put your finger on because it’s new.
Greetings from Paris! Don’t forget to watch the Valentino fall winter 2016 womenswear fashion show live! Tune in today, Wednesday, at 2:30PM Paris Time (8:30AM New York, 9:30PM in Hong Kong) to see the livestream.
