Every blogger and their lap dog are doing ’2012 in Pictures’ posts as a feeble attempt in humbleblogging humblebragging. Between you and me, I don’t even know where my 2012 went! I’m not gonna sit here for hours just to regurgitate memories from this year. It’s all about moving forward and charging ahead! With that being said, 2012 has been a banner year and I’d like to thank you all for the support — my beloved partner, my supportive family, my extremely loyal friends, my loving agent, my generous advertisers and sponsors and of course, my dearest readers. The best way to tell whether my boo feels safe or not is by looking at the pocket where he keeps his cellphone. If he feels safe, he’d put his cellphone on the back pocket of his jeans. If he has doubts, he’ll put it in his front pocket. While walking to the White House, I told him, well, Washington D.C. is probably the safest place in America right now, with what, big brother watching from every imaginable angle possible, even from the sky! He then rebutted, well, a small town in Alaska is probably the safest. To which I replied, “I can see Russia from my house!”

No visit to the nation’s capital would be complete without stopping by the venerable White House. Can I just say that it looks much, much smaller in real life than how it looks on television? Proof that television and cameras add 10 extra pounds…

I’m obsessed with Washington D.C. It is now, without any doubt, one of my favourite cities in America. My second favourite city actually, after my home, New York City. I must say I’m kind of disappointed with myself for waiting until NOW to visit the nation’s capital. Washington D.C. is gorgeous, it’s clean, it’s monumental, it’s powerful. You can feel the power in the air wherever you go. Everywhere you look is a fucking blog back drop waiting to happen. This city requires an extended stay (and a personal chauffeur and lots of outfits) in order to maximize the architecture for blog posts. I haven’t even left yet and I already can’t wait to visit again.

What was meant to be a 40-minute flight from NYC Laguardia to Washington Dulles airport turned into a seven hour nightmare — something about the weather, how they had to change planes, blah blah blah. I’m just happy I’m here in Washington DC. We left my apartment at around 2PM and it’s 10:38PM and I’ve just checked into my hotel room. I’m visiting to see my aunt who I haven’t seen in about two years and my cousins who I literally haven’t seen in almost two decades. It’s gonna be cray cray!
