Louis Leeman Shoes Fall 2012

My stylist friend Rogelio first introduced me to the world of Louis Leeman Paris sometime last year but it wasn’t until last month when I went to Pitti Uomo that I realized how gorgeous Louis’ shoes are. Fast forward to New York Fashion Week and I found myself salivating once again when Mr. Leeman had his presentation a few days ago. I had goosebumps when I saw the entire range — his shoes are incredibly well-made. I love the classic shapes with modern embellishments such as teeny touches of metal, caviar beads, etc. How can you not fall in love with these shoes? Men’s shoes have never been soo chic! A retailer would be VERY stupid not to sell these shoes…

I really love the angular, blunt, Rooney Mara-inspired haircuts at Calvin Klein. Not only they were very modern, they also punctuated the minimal but ultra chic looks Francisco Costa sent down the runway. More power to the ‘bob’!

Direct or Indirect Order?

It’s the final day of New York Fashion Week and my first show was Ralph Lauren. Said hi to Anna Wintour earlier in her seat. After taking her picture, she asked me if ‘m going to London. I replied by saying I’m going to Milan and Paris; then she told me “I think you should. It’s good!”

I rang my boyfriend after the show and he said, ‘I think it’s a direct order that you should hop on a plane once New York Fashion Week is over’. Anna’s right. There’s a lot of interesting and talented young designers in the London scene, everyone from Erdem to Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane and my friend Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders and JW Anderson. If it only wasn’t so expensive to go to London I’d go in a heartbeat but alas, my commercial relationships in NYC and Milan outnumber to my slim-to-none in London. Ahhhhh there’s always next season.

Always so lovely seeing Anna. She’s my heroine!

Next pit stop is Calvin Klein show at 2PM. That’s 45 minutes from now.

A Dozen Red Roses

What a delightful surprise from my partner. He’s been pestering me the whole day whether I received his Valentine’s Day present and it was only until a wee bit before midnight that I got back at the hotel (after leaving at 9:45AM). I’m not the most patient person in the world so sometime in the afternoon, I asked him what he sent. I pleaded, “Oh for god’s sake just tell me what you sent me!” He jokingly said he sent a stripper. Alas, this is what I got…
