How they party in Tokyo...
Found this video of the Marc Jacobs Japan Independence Day party last week. I truly had lots and lots and lots of fun that night. Thank you!

Day Train from Munich to Milan [part 1]
I originally thought of flying from Munich to Milan but I've never been on a European train before (other than subway systems) so I decided to use the efficient rail system instead. You know, take your average third world city boy and put him in a train to enjoy a bit of countryside scenery yaddi yaddi yadda. I think it's a nice way to travel -- especially when you're traveling with 40 kilos worth of baggage on you. And I'm not talking about your body weight, Snejana.

I thought about writing one heck of a tearjerker because it's such a good story and then I realized it's not fair to the other party. I don't want people to vilify him if you know what I mean. Besides, I may lead a semi-public (emphasis on semi) life because of this blog but in the end, we're still both, especially him, private individuals. So let's cut this purging session short.

I love that there's so much hair in this pittttcherrr. My legs, my poor, poor hairy legs. You know, for an Asian person my legs are very hairy. I used to shave them back in the day but I learned to love them over the years. I love men with hairy legs, what can I say...
Actually, I love men with hairy everything. Except hairy backs. LOL.

My fellow non-Americans, how did you celebrate American Independence Day? Well, from Europe, I went straight to Tokyo for the Marc Jacobs Japan Independence Day party.

Wow wow wow! My friends Philippe and Eric who writes for Mouth Magazine (a site about Montreal pop culture) recently took these pics of the Holt Renfrew store as they walked down Sherbrooke Street in Montreal.

Look who I met at the Marc Jacobs Japan Independence Day party in Tokyo.

Sing after me...

Get yourself to the butterfly lounge, find yourself a big lady. Big boy, come around and there we're gonna do baby. No need to fantasize since the words are my praises, a watering hole with the girls around and curves in all the right places.
That's all.

Yes I know. I'm currently backblogged big-time. Excuse me as I play catch up. I dislike (hate is a very strong word) reminding people constantly that I'm ***still*** a solo act. You know, a one-man circus/independent operation. People often ask me if I have a manager or an assistant. Why? I don't know. Crazy. In any case, the answer, as some of you already know, is a big, fat NO.

Anyhoo, I'm enjoying a bit of me-me-me time so expect quite a number of blog entries from yours truly over the next few hours.

Some are new, some are a few days (or perhaps a week or two) old but I'm glad to share bits and pieces of all the good -- and horrible -- memories I had recently.
Sit tight.

I love this shot that I took of Bruno Pieters backstage at the Hugo Hugo Boss spring/summer 2010 menswear show.

Calm before the storm as they say...

Thanks Sonny for introducing me to Bruno!

While every blogger and their pet chihuahua are coming out with t-shirt lines, I, in coordination with the very handsome and very talented Jamie Richards (formerly of JustJr and now, Voutier), have come up with my limited-edition line of gourmet greens. They're currently being sold at Franprix in Paris. Who knows, perhaps someday when we find a bajillionaire who will toss our salad invest in us, like, oh I dunno, Lapo Elkann, we'll sell my greens around the world, no?

Have you ever had a retail institution pay tribute to you? Believe it or not, I'm still having a hard time digesting it.

Holt Renfrew Toronto flagship store
As I previously wrote, Canada's premiere retailer, the 170-year old Holt Renfrew, is currently celebrating their favourite fashion bloggers through window displays at their stores. I think it's an incredible gesture (not to mention a very bold move) for Holt Renfrew (or any retailer, really) to do such thing. Unless I'm wrong, it's the world's first. I'm truly, madly, deeply happy that the 'establishment' recognize us bloggers. It's such an honor and a privilege to be on their list. Thank you. Thank you so much. Look , I've never even been to Canada... but I'm there in spirit! I wish I was in Toronto right now so I could pose near my window but alas, I'm in Tokyo.

Spent a lovely afternoon at Cafe Charlot in Paris (Rue Bretagne) with friends over coffee, beer, burgers, fries and wine!

It's 6:30AM here in Paris. I just got back at the apartment after spending 2 hours at the French police station. I was mugged and had to file a complaint. I went out at around 4AM to take cash from the atm to pay for my cab fare to the airport later and to try to find a place where to get cigarettes but these 2 guys followed me and asked me to hand over my Chanel bag. To be honest with you, I wasn't worried about the bag, cash or what have you. My only concern is that the bag has the keys to the apartment. I have a flight in a few hours and I haven't packed yet!

To cut the story short, right after I got mugged, I went to the payphone and called the French police -- hello, I already had my phone stolen a few days ago. Within seconds, I kid you not, 2 cop cars with 8 or 9 policemen went to the payphone where I'm at. I was crying etc.
One of them asked me what the thieveslook like so I said there's 2 guys, blah blah blah. They told me to get inside the car really quick and they drove around the streets really fast. I wasn't sure what was going on until I saw the 2 guys who mugged me walk down the street so I told the cops that's them!
They were able to recover my Chanel bag, keys, etc. The had to keep the cash though as evidence until the judge does something this afternoon but alas, I'll be gone. I'll just ask a friend to get the cash.
Anyway, I'm fine now. I'm safe, alive, and I'm alright. I lost a few things but they are irrelevant. The two guys are in the hands of the police, hopefully the judge will do something about it.
It's amazing how efficient French police are. Seriously. They searched the streets for my keys... I'm totally impressed. Thank you thank you thank you so much.

PS. OMG I know this isn't appropriate to say but jesus fuck, some of the police officers were GAWWWWWJUS!
PPSS. Ok ok I better get going. I'll pack my stuff now. It's Tokyo time!!!
Just a quick note to let you guys know that I have lost my cellphone two days ago here in Paris. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, call or send messages to my French (+33.6.1365.7126) or Filipino (+63.915.785.1492) cellphone numbers. I won't get them.
(Took this photo a lonnng time ago...)

If you get messages from these numbers, lemme tell you right no that it isn't me who are sending them. Both numbers are pre-paid sim cards so at this point (and unless there's a kind soul out here who wants to give me my phone back), please consider those digits as invalid.
I'll get new phone numbers when I get back home in a few weeks. Ugh.
Not only I need to get new numbers, I also need to get a bloody new phone.
And new business cards.
=( Bah.
I'm really pissed cause there are lots of memories in that phone... priceless text messages, precious photos and videos (especially the last few moments of my grandmother... etc).
Oh well. C'est la vie as they say...
Thank you.

Look where I went the other day.

Like what I've always said, if my entire closet vanished into thin air and I won the lottery the next day, be assured my closet would be full of...

The first thing I'm gonna do when I get home is buy a lottery ticket.
That's all.
