Here’s the view from my seat at the Versus by Christopher Kane show yesterday afternoon.
I think it’s fabulous that Donatella & Co. are resurrecting Versus. Like D&G, it’s a brand I grew up with. Christopher Kane did a stellar job this season. Talk about a kaleidoscope of colours and prints.
Prada Spring Summer 2011 Womenswear Final Walkthrough
I want to save my favourite for last but here’s the view from my seat at the spring/summer 2011 Prada show a few days ago.
What is there not to love about this collection? The colours are amazing, the accessories (shoes, bags, sunglasses) are super chic. The banana and monkey prints are whimsical, the furs are to die for and of course, the stripes… I love stripes! Hands-down one of the best in Milan. I’ll do my best to go for a re-see if I have the time. I’m leaving for Paris tomorrow night.
Jil Sander Spring Summer 2011 Final Walkthrough Video
Here’s the view from my seat at the spring/summer 2011 Jil Sander fashion show yesterday.
Raf’s show for Jil Sander is one of my top favourites in Milan so far. I love the bright colours (I love colourblocking), the volume… what a strong collection! Raf never ceases to amaze me how he’s able to keep things extremely pure.
On a different note, the very inspiring Tricia Jones of i-D magazine introduced me to Raf Simons when I congratulated him for this stunning collection. You know what he said? We met during his menswear show in Florence. I was gobsmacked! Fashion is a revolving door of people day in and day out and he remembers me.
Photos to follow. Yes, I know. I keep on saying that…
Here’s the view from my seat at the Just Cavalli spring/summer 2010 fashion show held yesterday here in Milan.
Roberto Cavalli (who’s celebrating 40 years in business this year) sent out his signature parade of animal print and embellished denim for Just Cavalli.
Here’s the view from my seat at the D&G spring/summer 2011 fashion show yesterday.
From the moment I saw the invitation (which came with a packet o flower seeds), I knew it was gonna be a garden-themed collection. Dolce & Gabbana did not disappoint. They showed a colouful collection of various floral and gingham prints. I thought it was fresh and fun. The shoes were amazing, too. I took so many photos backstage and on the runway. I can’t wait to share them to you.
Here's the view from my seat at the Gucci spring/summer 2011 fashion show.
The show was divided into three parts. I personally loved the stellar collection of heavily-embellished (think beaded and feathered) dresses as seen on this video. Absolutely stunning. Hair and make-up looked great, too. Super slick, super Gucci.
Here’s the view from my seat at the spring/summer 2011 Alberta Ferretti fashion show here in Milan.
It’s always nice to sit beside friends at shows. This time around, I sat beside my fellow Vogue-annointed blogger Catherine of Red Carpet Fashion Awards and of course, the amazing Anna Dello Russo.
Alberta Ferretti’s collection was super light with lots of printed chiffon. Very romantic and dreamy.
My dearest friends and followers, be sure to keep an eye out later today, September 23, 2010, 6PM Milan Time, for the livestream of Miuccia Prada’s spring/summer 2011 womenswear fashion show.
