It’s no secret I’ve been to Singapore quite a number of times in the past. It’s one of my favourite places in the world. I usually tend to stay at larger hotels — Four Seasons, St. Regis and of course, the massive Marina Bay Sands. While you generally know what to expect with the big branded hotels, sometimes it’s nice to take a gamble and stay somewhere with a touch of charm. Afterall, I’m only in Singapore for a night and I wanted to do three things — buy a new computer, have chicken rice and chilli crabs.
Queenie and I booked a room at the Scarlet hotel. It’s located in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown — literally next door to the Maxwell Road food center. I’ll tell you more about the reason why we wanted to go there, too.

Greetings from Singapore! Sincerest apologies for the lack of recent updates. I’m currently in Asia to film America’s Next Top Model Cycle 20 and due to contractual commitments, I am unable to disclose our location hence my recent silence. Let me tell you one thing — it’s gonna be a very exciting season on ANTM!
My good ol’ Macbook Pro crashed yesterday. My all-around man Queenie and I flew to Singapore to buy a new notebook. I’m sure you are aware how horrifying it feels to be computer-free in this day and age of social media. It’s a good thing I backed everything up!
We managed to score a room with a balcony at a boutique hotel in Chinatown. As y’all know, I **LOVE** Singapore. It’s a shame we have to cut our trip short to go back to taping. I’ll keep you posted shortly on our adventures. Haji Lane! Maxwell Road Hawker Centre! Jumbo Seafood! I don’t even know where to begin. All I can say for now is that it’s GREAT to be back in Asia once again. I love you all!

The swimming pool on top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore has got to be the most ridiculously magnificent pool I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

Look at what I found while shopping earlier at Haji Lane here in Singapore.

Wear one on each finger and voila, it’s all about cool, sexy badass bitches in love.

Although I didn’t find anything that pushed the envelope at Thai designer Jirawat Bote Benchakarn’s collection, I must say I was charmed by the show. He sent down a myriad of various essentials such as school boy blazers, button-down shirts, sweaters and cardigans, mostly paired with shorts. I love the green detail at the back of two jacket collars. I thought they were terrific. And the double-breasted blazer and camouflage short combo? Scott Schuman, who posted THIS entry in May last year, is going to be very proud.

I bought these dark blue leopard trousers from Whyred on my last day in Stockholm. Thought I’d take them out for a spin here in Singapore a few days ago.

The view from my room is beyond amazing. Look at Singapore’s skyline at night.

It’s Friday evening. I’m currently cocooning in my hotel room (again???) after a day’s worth of shows. What’s on my menu? A bottle of Chardonnay, room service food (asian delights!!), tons of emails, work backlog and of course, a gorgeous view. No, I’m not talking about the view on skype webcam with my man… haha! ;-)

I’m currently here in Singapore for the next few days to attend the inaugural of Singapore Men’s Fashion Week. About twenty international menswear fashion brands are showing their fall 2011 collections this week.

It’s always a pleasure to be in Singapore as my biggest reader base in Asia reside here. I love Singaporeans!

Shoes Make Me Happy
Are you enjoying the holiday shopping season? There are tons of SALE promotions everywhere. I swear to god, my heart beats faster every time I see a 'sale' sign and I always have to remind myself "Stop. Must. Save. For. Future."
I saw this hysterical sign at the ION shopping mall in Singapore yesterday morning.

Suddenly don't feel bad about the treats I got myself: a new pair of Lanvin shoes and a Marc Jacobs bag.

I think I've worked VERY hard this year…a treat (here and there) is well-deserved, no?

Singapore Straits Times
Singapore's largest newspaper, the Singapore Straits Times, published a 'what's in your bag' feature on me last week. They took this shot back in April.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for the lovely feature!
I love Singapore, I miss Singapore and I hope to be in Singapore again soon.
