Net-a-Porter's Free Shipping Offer (North America Only)
A gay male friend of mine who lives in Perth, Australia mentioned yesterday night how people in the USA are so lucky when it comes to online shopping because Americans have a wonderful selection when it comes to what's available to them and they often get good deals such as free shipping. So true. I got a mailer yesterday from Net-a-Porter who's offering free shipping on all orders on its North American website.

That's right. Net-a-Porter is offering free shipping until July 29 so start shopping for your new season looks and exercise that plastic. Too bad I don't live in the US or Canada or else I'd pick up an item or two.

Cheap Thrills at Urban Outfitters
I'm desperate for cheap thrills so I paid Urban Outfitters a visit (cheap thrills my ass… cheeeeeeep is the only thing I can afford right now, thank you very much) and bought a few things: women's Dr Martens patent leather 14-eye boots, BDG super stretchy sateen cigarette pants in black and men's two-tone suede oxford shoes which I got on sale.
I particularly love the Doc Martens boot. Thank GOD they carry size 10 women's. Unlike the usual docs which have the horrible yellow stitches, these ones have black stitching and the shape is nice, too.

There's HEAPS of items ON SALE… they have "under $9.99" and "under $30" sections both for men and women worth checking (though I didn't find anything interesting for me). Perhaps you'll find something there? I love Urban Outfitters!
GO check em out. Now!

SHOPBOP FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!
Run my dear minions run! I’m a complete sucker for free shipping promotions given the exorbitant cost of international postage these days. Shopbop is currently running a free international shipping offer when you spend US$100 or more. I’m glad they extended it on overseas orders when free shipping is only available to the US.

Although the offer is valid until June 30 only, I’d take advantage of it NOW before they deplete their Spring/Summer 2009 merchandise.
Now GO!
You’re welcome.

HairXpression by Balmain Paris Hair Extensions
I didn’t believe my tranny friend in NY when she told me last night that her hair extensions are from Balmain. I thought she was bullshitting at first. There is nothing worse than a queen fiddlin’ with yo’ feelings.
She was serious afterall.

Click HERE and look up “Balmain” on the search box. You’ll uncover MOAR! God I love them licensing deals. Pierre Cardin is dat chu?
Now you too my dear laydee friends can buy Balmain without breaking the bank.
Consider this as your queen-to-queen tip of the day.

Sorry to see you go…
After two weeks of painfully dealing (or should I say ‘negotiating’) with the worst customs in the whole world (they refuse to budge and insisted on charging an arm and a leg in duties and taxes… for a pair of shoes!!), the Lanvin sneakers I bought finally arrived.

But alas, they are the wrong size.
What a beautiful pair of sneakers… I saw the knock-off version at Zara a few weeks ago and it pales in comparison to the real deal. Now I’m gonna have to send them back and wait for another pair to be sent to me. I’m soo sad. I honestly feel like I’m parting away with a child!
It’s alright. At least it gives me time to find black grosgrain ribbon to use as shoelaces.

Hermès Porosus Crocodile Birkin 35cm Pelouse
As someone who is obsessed with fashion, I (try to) understand why some pieces cost they way they do: exclusivity, fine attention to details, luxurious materials, impeccable tailoring, exquisite craftsmanship, so on and so forth.
Now. I love Hermès and all but I have never, ever, EVER seen anything as outrageous as THIS in my entire life. Ladies and gays, meet the US$97,000 (NINETY SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLAR) crocodile Hermès Birkin bag.

Click HERE for more eye-popping extravaganza.
OK I lied. I think I saw a croc Birkin up for auction at Doyle New York a long, long time ago for much less than that but it has diamonds in it.
I know it’s crocodile and yes, I know it’s an Hermès Birkin, but come on.
Why do I find the price point outrageous other than the fact that it doesn’t even have precious stones in it?
I dunno, just think of what one could do with $97,000.
I, knowing that I probably would NEVER have the chance to know what it’s like to have 97 grand in this lifetime (ok… ninety seven cents, yes), would probably:
- buy a gorgeous, well-endowed husband from the Baltics
- adopt six kids of different nationality and colour
- buy a pick up truck
- buy a whopping 41 acres of land in the glorious, exotic American town of Houlton, Maine (where gay marriage is now allowed) for the bargain price of US$19,800
- buy a horse named Lily
- buy a dog named Fifi
- buy a cat named Pipi
- buy a naked houseboy named Kiki.
I betcha my brown ass I’d still have plenty of change left.
After a year, I’ll sell the whole lot (husband, kids, house and pets) on eBay and I’d prolly get triple or quadruple my investment.
Enough daydreaming. Ninety seven thousand dollars? You’ve got to be kidding me.
Just sayin’.
