I got myself a gorgeous little treat from Fallon jewelry sometime last week in the form of this spikes n' crystal stunner. It's a piece from their Resort 2011 collection.
NYC-based Dana Lorenz (of Fenton/Fallon) makes some of the chicest and edgiest jewelry out there. Her collaboration with J.Crew earlier this year brought her to my radar and I've been tracking her baubles since then.
Stunning, isn't it? I'm looking for a key fur piece to add to my ailing wardrobe this season and I can't stop thinking how ferocious that is.
All you gotta do is visualize. Visualize walking the streets of New York, Milan and Paris wearing it. Visualize all the envious stares you'll get while you're wearing that showstopper.
Sadly, the steep $4,450 price tag stops me from buying it but hey, it's free to visualize!
I'm browsing Shopbop just now and saw two of my favourite staple "styles" (or trends… whatever you call em…) in one very cozy Marc by Marc Jacobs mash-up: colourblocking and stripes!
I'm all about colours this fall/winter season.
It seems that the older I get, the more I become less interested in wearing black outerwear. If only I had access to colourful coats and outerwear all the time, I'd be in heaven.
Marc by Marc Jacobs blanket sweater, US$528, at Shopbop.

Ahhhh All Saints. I've heard of this British label ages ago but it's been on my radar an awful lot recently. I think I have my friend Fabian to blame. He had this cute leather vest when I visited Berlin in July… and over the weekend when I went to Hamburg, he had this ferocious men's bomber jacket.
I visited their site to see their men's clothing selections and All Saints didn't disappoint.
Nice eh? It's a bit pricey at UK£350 but if you compare the prices of other brands, £350 is actually very, very reasonable. You'd be looking at least four figures if you go high fashion…
Talbots’ Unbelievable Transformation Featuring Linda Evangelista
Holy shit. I’m at a complete loss of words. I just had to share this with you when I saw this image on my newsfeed. Supermodel (as in the TRUE supermodel) Linda Evangelista (shot by Mert & Marcus) is the star of Talbots ad campaign.
I’m very, very, very curious how Talbots customers would react to the image change. This is a major and I mean MAJOR overhaul. Talbots is renowned for no nonsense “REAL American” womenswear. We’re talking about real real as in real real South Dakota or Wyoming or Idaho or something like that.
Can you imagine? This is probably the equivalent of snatching away a Midwesterner fashionista’s People Stylewatch and shoving an issue of Vogue Paris down her throat instead.

Check out this video I took of some really cray cray cocktail rings I saw at a shop in Taipei. I’ve lost a few days’ worth of sleep over them.
The rings are soo beautiful but they’re so expensive. We’re talking about US$400 and up, as much as US$1500+ each! These are not your ordinary fancy jewelry. Some were made using semi-precious stones and the craftsmanship is incredible.
A friend and I found it funny that we were complaining how expensive they were… because the shop is just an ordinary stall. I can’t even imagine how much these would go for if they were sold at a store in North America or in Europe.
I dunno. There were a few pieces that I really, really want but I had to walk away empty-handed because I have other priorities can’t afford them whereas my friends who can afford didn’t buy them because really, the prices were too much for what they were.
Shearling is, without question, one of the biggest must-haves this fall. Everyone sent a shearling look down the fall/winter 2010 runways from the gorgeous aviator jackets at Burberry Prorsum, to Etro, Marc Jacobs, Unzipped-inspired House of Holland, Christopher Kane and yes, Celine (I love the coat).
Anyhoo, I visited the Vince showroom right beside Bryant Park earlier in February during New York fashion week. To me, Vince is an American brand that makes excellent basics. I’m sure many of us have a tee, a cardigan or a cashmere sweater from them. Imagine my surprise when I saw this shearling jacket. It’s super, super soft and super lightweight. I fell in love with it instantly.
It’s cute, no? I think it would be a great addition to someone’s wardrobe. It’s one of those pieces you can wear endlessly, especially in cold weather.
You may buy the jacket at Net-a-Porter or Shopbop. Shopbop, btw, offers FREE shipping anywhere in the world.
