Luisa Via Roma Weekend Sale
There's a big sale over at Florence-based Luisa Via Roma. A lot of their fall/winter 2008 offerings are marked 30% down. Some of their older stock are 40-50% off. My eyes are on this Lanvin t-shirt which is currently priced, 30% off, at US$283. Not bad eh considering the SAME top is being sold by Kirna Zabete in NYC, 50% off, at $317. Isn't it funny how I'm penny-pinching? Oh how we all wish we were part of the minted class but gilded I am not. So… in these crazy economic times (in other words, WHO HAS MONEY TO SHOP?), every dollar saved counts!
PS. Boys, the Lanvin *men's* shirts are also on sale. GO!
Dunhill Collection Leather Fingerless Gloves
I'm really loving CoutureLab. I think I found the perfect leather driving gloves online. Not that I drive anyway but Karl Lagerfeld is dat chu? I saw these fingerless gloves made by Dunhill. They come in black or tan and they're made out of soft & supple lamb napa leather with a suede lining inside.

Steve from London visited me while I was in KL. More about him later.

Hermès Bolduc Twilly Medor
I've been working so hard the past few months it's logical that I treat myself with a little luxury lovin' in spite of these crazy economic times. The best gifts comes in orange boxes so I bought this cute little Hermès Bolduc Twilly Medor.
The Medor Twilly comes in four combinations: orange or green silk twilly with gold hardware and purple or black twilly with silver/palladium hardware. I wanted the purple twilly with gold hardware so I tried to charm my way with the sales associate who happily changed it for me.
It has three removable clips that you can use with your other
twillys. You can then use it as a necklace, bracelet, whatever. I
haven't tried it on a scarf yet. In any case, it's soo chic I love it!
Urban Outfitters Holiday Wishlist

Just got this via email. There's a MASSIVE fall/winter sale over at Shopbop. I know all the retailers are pulling out all the stops right now because of the horrible economic crisis (sales usually don't begin till after xmas!) but if you have a few dollars to spare, check out Shopbop's enormous sale. A ton of items from accessories, boots, flats, dresses, little jackets, sweaters and tops were marked down by up to 70% off.

Alexis Mabille Bow Ties
If y'all knew how obsessed I've been with bow ties lately you'd probably think I've lost my mind. The thing is, I don't want just another bow tie… I want SPECIAL bow ties. If I wanted regular ones then I might as well go to the Brooks Brothers website (something I've done a thousand too many times recently) and call it a day. But yeah… where's the fun in that?

Tuesday Afternoon at Theodore’s
After an entire day’s worth of back-to-back appointments and meetings yesterday, I popped by Theodore’s the store. They have their year-end sale going on with items up to 80% off. I thought I’d ditch the Canon G9 camera and use my Nokia Carbon Arte phone to take photos.

Rodarte at L'Inde le Palais Bologna
Wow. Just wow. I love Rodarte. I really do. I think sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy are super talented. I always look forward to what they put out on the runway during NY Fashion Week. Most of what I've seen from them are only based on photos and I've never seen an actual Rodarte piece in real life. According to their website, Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong carry their line. Perhaps I've missed it? Anyway, I found a store that sells Rodarte online. I'm shocked… talk about sticker shock!
Rodarte @ L'Inde le Palais (Italy)
The hand-knitted sweaters are incredible (visit the site
and check out the amazing details) but alas, the price point is way too
prohibitive for the common man. Now that we're at it, L'Inde le Palais (based in Bologna, Italy) has an amazing selection from Lanvin, Rick Owens, Givenchy, Missoni, Proenza Schouler and more. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye out on them from now on.
Isn't it interesting how all these European stores are coming out online?
All I need right now is a Russian bajillionaire.
