As promised, here are some pictures I took on the final day of the Formula 1 Shanghai race. It was spectacular! I’ve also thrown in some photos during the Pit Lane Walkabout. Klaus, one of GQ Germany’s editors, told me that Paddock Club access is the F1 equivalent to sitting front row at the shows. I’m really glad I went to F1. Look at me — I’m turning into a sports fanatic! I told my bf the other day that it’s important to spread out to things other than fashion as well.

Who knew karaoke could be fun? After dinner, Monda and I went to Partyworld Karaoke the other night with a lovely and fun group of Swiss and Germans.

Nothing beats karaoke in Asia. We spent so much time laughing at all these videos of people back in the 80s/90s. The hair, the outfits, the scenery. It was madness!

Watching the Formula One race in Shanghai has got to be one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had. Ever. It really played with my senses — sight and especially sound. Here are some of the videos I took from yesterday.

I was lucky enough to have access to the Formula One Shanghai Grand Prix Pit Lane. They opened the lane for an hour or so before the race to people with premium tickets so they can see what it’s like down there. While the deep-pocketed, the newly-minted and the rest of the corporate-types gawked and oogled at the racing pit, this Chinese lady made me gasp.

It’s always a pleasure seeing someone have fun with their sartorial choices!

Two nights ago, I was presented with two Sunday options: Shanghai shopping tour or go to the last day of the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix. A few people opted for Formula 1 so, in order not to be left out, I ended up choosing it. Fast forward to this morning, I was *this* close to bailing out attending Formula 1 (Me? Sport? Come on…) and then I thought, I probably won’t have this opportunity in my life so why not go and test it out? Again, I live my life with the mantra ‘when was the last time you did something for the first time?’

I went, I saw and boy, I had lots of fun.
It turns out, my (complimentary) Formula 1 Paddock Club access pass is worth 2,700 euros — just for today. Can you imagine how many shoes you can buy with that money? After spending the entire day at the races, I can understand why sporting events have lots and lots of fans willing to shell out tons of money. What I experienced was BEYOND amazing!
More to follow. I’m late for dinner!

Ni hao my dearest readers. I’m currently in Shanghai, China.

Not only the internet is slow, I cannot seem to access a lot of websites such as facebook, twitter, etc.
I’ll post a few blog entries when I have the time. On the bright side, my schedule is packed. Otherwise, I’d probably go nuts!
