Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Eva Cavalli’s party for Cash & Rocket, a tour organized by women raising funds for charity.
Roberto’s son Rob invited a few of us back to their Villa the day after for an impromptu lunch and pool party — a great way to beat the Italian heat. The Cavallis are such gracious hosts. Their home up the Florentine hills is nothing but magnificent and inspiring — think mink carpets, sable fur throws and unicorn sculptures. It was certainly a far cry from how I grew up as a child. It was magical!
Meanwhile, I had to make a new friend out of the leopard-print rabbit fut teddy bear in one of the salons.
Here’s the full-length video of the Roberto Cavalli menswear fall/winter 2012 fashion show. I thought Daniele Cavalli (who I saw in Florence during the first day of Pitti Uomo) did a great job; love the colour palette.
Back to my Fashion’s Night Out 2011 Tokyo diaries… it was so nice seeing Mr. Cavalli once again. I simply had to praise him for his smashing spring/summer 2012 womenswear show and of course, his stylist Panos Yiapanis who styled the collection.
Vintage Roberto Cavalli – Audi Fashion Festival 2010 Finale Video
In addition to showing select pieces from his fall/winter 2010 collection, Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, who’s celebrating his 40th anniversary, closed this year’s Audi Fashion Festival with vintage pieces from his archive.
I had chills running down my spine when that oversized white feather number came out. Want. NEED. Gagging for it!
