Style.com's Greatest Fashion Blogging Moments

Style.com, the grand-daddy of all fashion websites, just published a
"Great Moments in Fashion Blogging History" list.

I must admit that personally, I feel like it's rather premature to do a 'blogging moments' retrospective considering bloggers have only been inducted to the big fashion machine a few seasons ago. It's like Justin Bieber releasing a 'Greatest Hits' album. We still have a long way to go. Every day is a new day… there's so many new things to learn, so many new events to experience to further hone our craft.

Nevertheless, it's an honor to be recognized, so thank you Style.com.

It's also very nice to see talented people who I consider friends make the cut.

I'll never forget that moment at the Boom Boom Room, I mean, Top of the Standard whatever the current name is. Marc Jacobs and I exchanged hugs and kisses, then pointed to all the photographers in front of us and told me "Welcome to New York!" Surreal. Absolutely surreal.

And that photo of Tinsley Mortimer kissing James Kurisunkal? Pure gold.

Remember that polaroid shoot I did in Paris last October? The same shoot with the electrifying Giovanna Battaglia? Well, the latest issue of self service is out. Malgosia Bela and Carmen Kass are both on the cover.

Looks like I’m gonna troll the internet to see if I can buy this issue online because it’s not available in the Philippines. Boo.

The $64 million question is, do you guys think me and the amazing Tommy Ton (Jak and Jil) would make a great sticky rice gaysian power couple? Hahaha ;-)

If you live in the UK, be sure to pick up a copy of the February 2010 issue of British In Style magazine. Me, my favourite gurls Julia Frakes and Tavi, and of course, Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, are there. I remember doing this interview when I went to NYC last October after the European shows.

IT

Have you seen the February issue of Fashion magazine Canada? This nugget brought a smile to my face because I don't really consider myself as an IT person… but hey, I'll take the compliment, thank you very much. LOL.

I'm chuckling because I always get flashbacks every time I come across the term "IT".

My first exposure to the big, wonderful world of IT people was back in the dark ages when I used to buy all those British magazines. There was this woman called Tara Palmer-Tompkinson who was nicknamed, duh, "TPT". I'll never forget that photo of her in a bikini and some snorkeling gear…. and a big fur coat to top it all off. She was photographed EVERYWHERE. I was like who is she? What is her purpose in life? Why is she in all of these magazines? TPT aside, there's also that blonde Lady what's her face, oh yes, Lady Victoria Hervey. Hysterical. 

It's always nice that my Paris crew, my gurls Charles, Sonny and Jean-Paul, are getting attention. I miss you ladies!

And yes, we need an ad campaign. The four of us. Diversity represent.

Four years ago I was just one of your usual "dear diary" sort of blogger who sometimes like to put on blond wigs and Jimmy Choos to go to the mall with a wheelchair I got from a garage sale for kicks and giggles.
