I know I wear a lot of womenswear pieces but there are times when I wear full, head-to-toe menswear lewks. Case in point: this Missoni turtleneck sweater which I paired with an Ermenegildo Zegna trouser I picked up last year. I’m a big fan of a good Missoni knit — they’re usually cheerful and colourful, not to mention timeless.

Despite all the drama and the negative reviews by the usual critics, the success of Hedi Slimane’s fall 2013 Saint Laurent collection is rather astounding. Talk about a big hit — many of the core pieces, including this Saint Laurent stars cardigan, are sold out everywhere. Every fashion magazine in existence shot countless covers and editorials featuring pieces from the collection. People are buying the jackets, the skinny jeans and of course, the irresistible knits.

Many people on instagram have pointed out the obvious, how autumn is my season. They’re absolutely correct. Autumn is, hands-down, my favourite time of the year. I already had a taste of it when I went to Stockholm a few weeks ago but now the cool, crisp temperatures are vastly spreading across the entire northern hemisphere. Mornings in Paris are absolutely perfect. Why can’t it be autumn all year-long? It’s cool enough to wear a nice, thick sweater but not cold enough to ditch my favourite leather booty shorts. I wore look number 22 from Kim Jones’ fall 2013 Louis Vuitton menswear collection (obsessed wih his collaboration with the Chapman Brothers) to Marc Jacobs’ final show (spring 2014) for Louis Vuitton.

I’m thrilled to have my fur accessories collaboration with Adrienne Landau carried at good ol’ Colette in Paris. Colette, with no doubt, is one of the most amazing and well-edited stores in the world! It’s fascinating to see that they ordered a number of items, in different colorways, from my collection.

Thought I’d share a few memories from Paris during the recent spring/summer 2013 womenswear collections – all minked up at nine o’clock AM before the Vuitton show, a futuristic stroll, front-row at Chloe, pink flower sighting just minutes before a friend got mugged by gypsy kids, Tour Eiffel after Costume National, one of my favourite looks from the John Galliano show, coat and micro shorts contrasting combo, the ubiquitous front-row photo bombing by mobile devices at Loewe, plastic-covered walls at Maison Martin Margiela, chic clutches at Sonia Rykiel, Hawaiian tropic at Isabel Marant, pure craftsmanship insanity wicker-chair chic at Balmain and more… Will do another batch shortly.

Avenue Montaigne, I love you so much. I could spend the entire afternoon mincing around the area. It’s all about Marni and Montaigne Market, followed by a late lunch at L’Avenue and a quick run-through of all the new things at Celine and finally, go off the beaten path by visiting Balenciaga and Givenchy. Don’t you just wish life was this easy? Oh to dream… I suppose Avenue Montaigne is best at small doses. That’s what luxury is all about. Just a teeny, tiny, scoopful. It loses its value if you serve too much…

At long last, we finally met.
Such an honor to have met the legendary, the one and only, the grand master of them all… Mr. Azzedine Alaia!
Solar panels! Wind turbines! As always, leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to turn the Grand Palais into a magical, modern wind farm as the backdrop of Chanel’s spring/summer 2013 fashion show.
Love a bit of Kate Bush, too…
I know it doesn’t sound very me to say I haven’t gone to many parties the past month. When you’re staying far from the city center and have early morning appointments and shows to attend, you have no choice but to tuck yourself under the sheets as early as possible. But when Mama Carine invites you to her ultra chic black-tie ball to celebrate her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, you better put that mink bow tie on and go where the fashion flock goes. Where else could I dance with the legendary Mr Alaia, shake my booty on the dance floor with Mr Ackermann, have Mr Testino tell me “I looooooove your fur!” and freak out with Rachel Zoe at the courtyard because of a mystery man going nuts with the fire extinguisher? Only at Carine’s ball where fashion stars align, let their hair down and have lots of fun. Best party of the season. #NUFFSAID

My friend Nicola sent me this insect-inspired, straw sweater from Mugler. I wanted to wear it to the fashion show but I had problems finding an appropriate bottom to wear it with, plus, it also rained that day and I was afraid to get it wet. Anyhoo, I thought it would be nice to take it out for a spin around the nitty, gritty 10eme at my first, post-fashion week (or should I say, post-fashion month) Parisian stroll.
