Interpreting My Dream

How often do you dream? I’m talking about real dreams (as in the ones you get when you’re asleep) and not goals and aspirations.

Going All Out With My Faux Fur

Going All Out With My Faux Fur

I have to express my sincerest gratitude to the wonderful folks at H&M for giving me first dibs into the Lanvin x H&M collection two days before America got theirs and five days before the rest of the world. Although I bought a few pieces (we were limited to seven items!!!) at the private shopping event, I consider myself incredibly lucky. I contemplated queueing when the collection was launched in the US over the weekend but the concept of being in line for hours, many hours, along with rabid shoppers is not really my cup of tea. Some of them were out for blood…

Soho Grand Hotel New York

There are very few places in this big, colourful world that I can actually call home. The Soho Grand Hotel is pretty much my home in New York. It’s always a pleasure staying there. I’ve been going to this lovely hotel for the past two years; I consider some of their staff as family.

D&G Fur Patchwork Boots

I took my new fall/winter 2010 D&G Dolce & Gabbana fur patchwork boots out for a spin yesterday afternon.

They start just an inch or two below the knee and it has different types of fur — rabbit, astrakhan, fox, coyote, mink, etc. The boots are super, super soft and it has a very high heel hidden inside. Just the way I like it.

Bryanboy at the Spring/Summer 2011 Shows

As you know, it’s been a crazy fashion month. Come to think of it, I only did three cities this time around (New York, Milan and Paris). Hopefully I’ll do London next season. Here are some photos from the ‘Front Row‘ sections of Style.com/Style.it (the Italian version of Style.com). This entry was inspired by the entry I did during the fall/winter 2010 shows.

Bryanboy for Nasjonalgalleriet

The fun folks at NRK/Norwegian TV interviewed me in between shows during New York Fashion Week.

They also followed me at the fun Diesel Black Gold (designed by Sophia Kokosalaki) show where I wore, quelle surprise, Diesel.

JNBY Soho, New York Store

When I went to NYC a few weeks ago, I discovered a brand called JNBY (aka Just Naturally Be Yourself. I've heard of this brand from friends quite awhile back (and of course, the NY Times) but I never really had the chance to visit. They recently approached me to document a mini-shopping trip while I pick some of my favourite pieces at the store. Check it out.

JNBY is located at:

75 Greene St.

Bryanboy at Bergdorf Goodman for Fashion’s Night Out 2010

Bryanboy at Bergdorf Goodman for Fashion's Night Out 2010

Fashion's Night Out is back…. and it's bigger and brighter than last year.

I'm sure you are all aware of last year's Fashion's Night Out festivities. It's a wonderful intitiative started by Anna Wintour and her brilliant team at Vogue as a 'stimulus package' for the fashion industry. I was in New York City last year and I had so much fun visiting various shops around the city at night.

It is with great pleasure for me to share to you that I'm participating on this year's events.

Instead of loitering downtown on Bleecker Street (where I was last year), this time I'll be judging a contest thrown by the amazing folks at the venerable New York institution, Bergdorf Goodman.

My co-judges include beauty expert Trish McEvoy, fashion designer Catherine Malandrino and of course, American Vogue's Hamish Bowles. I'm in very good company eh?

I'll post the official announcement in a bit. :-)

It's the first of many, many events that night. I'm still in the process of finalizing (ie., going through offers) on what else I'll be doing on that day.

I'm also co-hosting an afterparty as well later that evening at one of my favourite hotels in New York City, the Soho Grand.

As you can see, I'm very excited!

What are you doing on September 10?

Me and my friends Phil and Brent spent the afternoon at Williamsburg yesterday. During our walk, I saw this empty parking lot with all these cray cray things in it.

The Price of Divorce

The Price of Divorce

I saw this poster while walking around the Lower East Side earlier.

price of divorce in New York city

I thought it was hilarious and sad at the same time. Can you imagine spending $200,000 on your dream wedding (and that doesn't include your Dior haute couture gown) only to get divorced for as low as $399, err, $734 including court fees? Yep, it's that easy!

Meanwhile, millions of gays around the world are fighting tooth and nail for the right to marry their beloved partners.

What a crazy, cray cray world we live in.
