Cindi Leive, Glamour magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, hosted a very intimate dinner at the Beatrice Inn to celebrate my beloved Jason Wu. As you already know, the First Lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama (aka FLOTUS), wore Jason’s dress once again at President Barack Obama’s Inauguration Ball.
I don’t know about you but I always, always get teary-eyed whenever I hear other people toast other people for their achievements. Cindi gave a heart-warming speech about Jason. She also wore the floral dress version of the top I’ve been eying online.
It was a good crowd. The ultra gorgeous and iconic Stephanie Seymour, the star of Jason Wu’s new ad campaign sat across me, Vogue’s Valerie Boster was the perfect seatmate, Chanel Iman showed me photos of her new car (I died) in California and encouraged me to finally get my driver’s license, my gurl Hilary Rhoda who I haven’t seen since we filmed the Rebecca Minkoff Christmas video was there and of course, I love Martha Hunt! She’s a knockout stunner.

125th Street in Harlem? Why not? Balmain and Vogue Magazine celebrated the launch of ‘The Pierre” handbag the other night at the amazing Red Rooster restaurant. Kicked off by meeting Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing who flew in from Paris just for the dinner, had a few cocktails before feasting on the best cornbread I’ve had in AGES. The lithe Russian Editor Anya Ziourova was one of my seatmates and we both LOVE the chicken. Ended the night with the gorgeous Kasia Struss dropping me off and stopping by at my apartment for a quick vodka nightcap before she went home. I must say it’s one of the best dinner parties I’ve been to in ages, hands down.
In other news, I really love this photo of Constance Jablonski, moi and Karlie Kloss. Even I can’t deal with the fabulosity of this image…

Here’s some excellent coverage backstage at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. I made a cameo with my gurl Alessandra Ambrosio. I’m the fallen angel haha!
Alessandra is so pretty. Not gonna lie… it takes a lot of wit, nerve and balls to pose beside her.

I know it doesn’t sound very me to say I haven’t gone to many parties the past month. When you’re staying far from the city center and have early morning appointments and shows to attend, you have no choice but to tuck yourself under the sheets as early as possible. But when Mama Carine invites you to her ultra chic black-tie ball to celebrate her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, you better put that mink bow tie on and go where the fashion flock goes. Where else could I dance with the legendary Mr Alaia, shake my booty on the dance floor with Mr Ackermann, have Mr Testino tell me “I looooooove your fur!” and freak out with Rachel Zoe at the courtyard because of a mystery man going nuts with the fire extinguisher? Only at Carine’s ball where fashion stars align, let their hair down and have lots of fun. Best party of the season. #NUFFSAID

A fashion designer is judged based on their work and the looks they present at a fashion show. Y’all know how it goes — models sashay down the runway donning the latest looks while photographers shoot images for the rest of the world to see. Here’s Jessica Stam wearing a one of my favourite looks from the spring/summer 2013 Marchesa collection — a gorgeous white fringed dress.

My friend Isaac who I haven’t seen in a long time invited me to an early dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. Little did I know he brought Tom, a male model from Australia, with him. It wasn’t an easy feat managing my eating habits in the presence of a hot guy. You see, I try to avoid eating in front of good-looking people but this time around, I think I did good. Perhaps it’s because Tom is nice (and Australian. I love Australian people!!) and of course, I love Isaac’s sense of humor so they made it easy for me.

Oh, Tom ordered a plate of pork and I flat out refused it when he offered me a slice. It’s funny how in my previous life I’d be the first one to order not one but maybe two plates of pork but this gurl is trying to be healthy. My diet coach is gonna be proud.

I arrived early at yesterday’s John Galliano show and managed to see the rehearsal before they let people in. Karlie Kloss opened the show. I love Karlie; that girl is a thoroughbred, through and through. She’s also one of the (genuinely) nicest models around.

This, my friends, is an example of a perfect Vogue cover.

Katie Fogarty, in Louis Vuitton, is on the cover of Vogue Australia’s September 2011 issue.
I also think it’s Vogue Australia’s best cover in the history of their existence.
Well done, Vogue Australia, well done.
