Here's the view from my seat at Marc Jacobs spring/summer 2011 fashion show.
Sometimes, you have to leave it to the big guns of New York, such as Marc, to lift the mood at New York fashion week. MJ flexed his muscle and showed a brilliant, colourful collection. Even the styling was amazing — those ginormous hats, the hair and make-up.
I was having a cigarette outside Kolizey where they held the screening of the Marc Jacobs x Louis Vuitton documentary and a few lovely readers came up to me. After a few moments, I'm like, hold on a second.. you guys are taking pics of me, lemme take pics of you LOL!
It's always a pleasure meeting some of my readers. It doesn't matter where they are in the world — Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, Japan, Australia, USA, wherever! I'm always thrilled and happy to see people, especially those who follow my little website. I'm very thankful and consider myself very lucky to be able to travel to places and meet those who read my stories or to see what I'm up to. It's such an honor, really.
Hu hu hu I’m so sad. Another city, another item lost. Excuse me while I mourn the loss of my beloved Marc Jacobs sunglasses. I’ve lost them in Singapore. I have a feeling I dropped it while watching one of the shows at the tents during Audi Fashion Festival.

I always lose something precious every time I travel.
Forget the fact that I’ve lost my cellphone this Friday. It’s the third
time I’ve lost my phone this year. I’ve left it in a cab after a night
out.
But yeah… Balenciaga glasses? Left it at a toilet cubicle in Narita airport en route to Detroit after a trip to Australia. Fox fur stole? Stolen by a thieving midget of a lesbian bull dyke in Plastic in Milan last year. Lanvin sneakers? Left it in Milan this March. I was on the verge of losing my Chanel bag when I got mugged in Paris last October — it’s a good thing the not-so-street-smart robbers were only after my money and not my bag which they could’ve sold on eBay. I guess they didn’t see the resale value in that. Then there’s a time when I thought I’ve lost my passport in Sydney airport because I spent my time going through duty-free fragrances, drunk! I left my passport AND boarding pass on a counter somewhere and I only found out about it when the boarding gate attendant handed it to me prior to boarding the plane — not the other way around!
I took this video of the Marc Jacobs Resort 2010 fashion show in Singapore over the weekend.
There were lots of prints, stripes, sequins and yes, the gold lamé dress Kate Moss wore to the Met Ball… but my favourite piece from the collection is this super embellished navy blue cardigan with floral appliques. It was love at first sight.
If you live in Singapore, be sure to visit the new Marc Jacobs store at ION shopping center on Orchard Road. I went there for a quick visit and they already have select pieces from the Resort collection.
The lovely folks at SVT, the biggest television network in Sweden, has a show called “Fashion” hosted by Karin Withers and my reader Erich emailed me the bit where I made little cameo appearance.

Excuse my hoarsy voice. This was the time when all that traveling took toll in my system.
Marc Jacobs Advertising + Juergen Teller Book Signing
I’m a big fan of Juergen Teller’s work. When I was younger, I bought his spectacular model casting book “Go Sees”. So when the lovely folks at Marc Jacobs invited me to his book signing event at the Palais Royal Paris store, this time, it’s for the enormous coffee table Marc Jacobs Advertising book, I had to come visit and see him in flesh.
Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2010 Video – Final Walkthrough
So here’s the view from my seat.
Amazing! Halfway throughout the show, my feet were thumping along the music and I wanted to dance. I’m sure the Japanese guy beside me must have been giving me looks. Who knows? It’s a good thing that it was dark. Hah!
Oh and btw, I’m gonna save money from this point on so when the next season comes, I’ll have a super fabu camera that will take decent videos. Add that to my Christmas wish list. I know most indie bloggers (like myself) put material out there that’s “raw” etc. but there are times when I really want to capture moments clearly and precisely so when I present it to you, you can see it the way I’m seeing it.. know what I mean? I hope so.
