What was meant to be a 40-minute flight from NYC Laguardia to Washington Dulles airport turned into a seven hour nightmare — something about the weather, how they had to change planes, blah blah blah. I’m just happy I’m here in Washington DC. We left my apartment at around 2PM and it’s 10:38PM and I’ve just checked into my hotel room. I’m visiting to see my aunt who I haven’t seen in about two years and my cousins who I literally haven’t seen in almost two decades. It’s gonna be cray cray!

Washington DC Dulles airport looks like a Prada runway set, no? So major…

I’m not gonna lie. After six days on ANTM Island, I’ve finally managed to overcome my phobia of the being seen on the beach. No, I’m not scared of the water. I’m just not comfortable being half naked looking out of shape in front of people. Why do you think I dress like a Christmas tree and cover myself in a shitload of clothes and accessories? Duh. Anyway, I’ve had enough being anti-social by pretending I’m working on my laptop when in reality I really wanna join everyone on the sea. So screw it. I took my clothes off and wore my Marc by Marc Jacobs swimming trunks. Game on, bitches! It’s been years since I last enjoyed doing normal people things on the shore like you know, playing with sand, dog-paddling or just lying down on the beach to soak some sun. I love it. Love love love love love! I’m gonna take more beach holidays from now on.

Sneaker wedges are nothing new. A few seasons ago, before the whole Isabel Marant madness exploded, I got a pair from See by Chloe in navy. I’ve been lusting over these Marc by Marc Jacobs sneaker wedges ever since I saw them on the runway last September. I love the three inch hidden heel inside (perfect for vertically-challenged people like myself) and of course, the changeable shoelaces. So cute! At $320, the price point is much friendlier than the distant Isabel Marant cousin. The sneaker comes in two multi-color versions, one with a white base and another in navy blue.

Last night was the avant-premiere of the Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs exhibition at the Louvre’s Les Arts Decoratifs. It was well-attended and fun event. In spite of the very crowded venue, I had so much fun going through Marc’s work at Louis Vuitton. I even had goosebumps when I saw some of the displays, especially Louis Vuitton’s collaborations with notable artists such as Takashi Murakami, Stephen Sprouse and Richard Prince — I can’t believe Marc has been at Vuitton for fifteen years. It felt as if it was only yesterday that I lusted over the silver Stephen Sprouse graffiti bag. I want to go back when it’s not super crowded to thoroughly enjoy the exhibit. But, given the number of Louis Vuitton-obsessed fans in the world out there, I highly doubt this glorious display of creativity will have a private moment of its own.

I’m on a time crunch (packing for Milan, working on a few deadlines) but allow me to share some images before and after the Marc Jacobs fall/winter 2012 fashion show earlier this week. It was so lovely seeing Marc once again — and he looks so handsome, as always!

Behold one of the coolest backpacks I’ve seen in a long time. Can’t take my mind off it. The bag is made out of faux leather but the badass edgy python-scale details make up for it. Love the super friendly price point as well — this backpack has serious ‘everyday bag’ potential.
