Austerity

24/09/2013, Acne, Balenciaga, Current Affairs, J Crew, Missoni

I know, I know. I’m a bit late in the game. I initially had doubts buying these Balenciaga cut-out boots at Barney’s. They first released these boots (for women) centuries ago but when I saw them on the men’s section for the first time during New York Fashion Week, I knew I had to get them. It’s a no-brainer purchase.

Are you excited for fall? I am! I’ve decided to stock up on outerwear this season. I bought this Acne Studios coat (dubbed the “Era”) on my trip to Stockholm last month. I know I’m gonna get major mileage out of this piece. Outerwear (ie. jackets and coats) is the most crucial thing one needs in the upcoming cool months. If you are a keen observer of my personal style, you’ll know that I’m a coat person vs a jacket person. There’s something comforting about wearing a nice, big coat. I like how it envelopes you and sometimes, the simplest, frills-free coat can be the chicest thing in the world.

A Mixture of Textures

25/08/2012, Accessories, Current Affairs, Fashion and Style, J Crew, Oscar de la Renta, Prada

How are you prepping for fall? I bought this tweed outfit (top and trousers) from J Crew sometime last week and I thought it would be cool to elevate the look with this ultra chic and ultra luxe crocodile Oscar de la Renta small dex bag. Ditto with the floral appliques of the new shoe from Prada. Little touches of lady-like goodness certainly won’t hurt a boy from time to time.

A Little Ray Of Sunshine Downtown

29/07/2012, Current Affairs, J Crew, New York City, Prada

My buddy Isaac visited me in my new apartment yesterday afternoon. After ordering Indian food and him spilling icky sauce on my floor, I told him that we should burn some calories by hauling our carcasses over to Battery Park. I’ve never been on that part of city ever. There are (still) so many places in Manhattan that I haven’t visited either. I can’t wait to explore every part of NYC while I’m here. Afterall, it won’t be long until I join the rodeo and start traveling again…

Texas State Capitol, Austin

07/02/2012, Austin, Current Affairs, Givenchy, Hermes, J Crew, Versace

No visit to Austin is complete without popping by the Texas State Capitol. Afterall, Austin IS the state capital. Rumi told me for the most part,  American capitals are not the biggest cities in the state, ie the capital of California is Sacramento (and not Los Angeles), the capital of New York is Albany (and not New York City), so on and so forth.
