Some say blondes have more fun but it’s always the brunettes who remember everything the next day. I love a good southern gurl. It’s always a hoot seeing my favourite southern belles Gala Gonzalez (from Spain) and Eleonora Carisi (from Italy). I had to share these photos of Gala, in a white tee, trying to emulate one of Eleonora’s signature hair poses. It was hysterical!

After the Gareth Pugh show earlier this evening, Anna dello Russo gave me a lift in her Merc to go to Parisian institution Colette for the Darcel x Marc Newson event. New York-based artist Darcel (aka Craig Redman) presented 150 portraits of 150 people (fashion people, celebrities, editors, etc) for Colette’s 15th anniversary. It’s an honor they made a portrait of me — it’s funny how people came up throughout the day telling me about it. I thought it’s so cool! My portrait was displayed beside my beloved Anna and of course, with my fellow internet people, Tavi, Scott, Garance, Tommy, Susie et al. Anna and I had a blast! Such a shame I had to leave the party early because someone has to run to the Apple store at Opera to buy a new external hard drive, pop by a Paris apartment to switch memory cards before rushing to Mugler. And that someone was… moi!
Guys, if you’re into art and into, well, into me (you know I love you), don’t forget to buy a limited edition print of my portrait by Darcel at Colette. Click HERE for more information or to purchase.

It’s that time of the year again and it’s an honor being nominated for this year’s Bloglovin’ Awards. Between you and me, I’m personally not a fan of being thrown in a boxing ring to compete with friends and colleagues (there’s no way for me to compete against my beloved Anna Dello Russo who’s also nominated in the same category as me; she’s a sure win!) but I love Bloglovin’.

Win or lose, congrats to everyone. I love you all!
Watch and learn.
Oh the hilarity!
I’m back in Tokyo! It’s been two years since I last went here and I’m very happy to be back, with my gurl Rumi, this time around. I love being here. I love the energy, the hustle and bustle and of course, the mysteriousness of the city.

My favourite online store Luisa Via Roma (www.luisaviaroma.com) recently hosted a sit-down dinner for the third edition of the blogger-oriented Firenze4Ever event. The dinner (for 100) was held at the eye-popping La Specola (aka Museum of Zoology and Natural History) in Florence. My seatmate was my friend Wendy Lam of Nitrolicious.com. Facehunter Yvan Rodic, Eva and Daniele Cavalli, who I’ve finally met at last, were also in attendance. We were served scrumptious Tuscan cooking and yes, opera singers serenaded us throughout our meal.

Online luxury powerhouse Net-a-Porter dedicated their online magazine to bloggers this week. It’s an honor to be included in their Power List. The usual suspects are there, of course.
I’m not sure where the write-up came from but “meetings with Anna Wintour”? Cheeky! No seriously. All aboard to the LOLercoaster! ;-)
Thank you so much Net-a-Porter!

Stefano Pilati on Fashion Bloggers as told to WWD at the Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2012 show in New York:
“I pay attention to all of them and I’m very scared,” he says. “Because who are these people? I would like to sit with them and ask them where they come from. Because it’s very easy to judge from your bed. At the same time, I’m fascinated. I’m fascinated by this era and this medium. If people are thirsty about fashion, I like to have a dialogue, but now it’s not a two-way dialogue; it’s a one-way dialogue.”
