Prada Fantasy Motionbook Lookbook Fall Winter 2010
One of the things I love most about Prada is that Miuccia is never afraid to push the envelope. She's one of the very few fashion designers who actually makes you think about their work, not once, not twice, but over and over again. Everything she creates has some form of an intellectual reference. I don't visit official brand websites very often because I find them too static and boring but Prada's web presence is a visual feast. I love her fall/winter 2010 fantasy lookbook and motionbook.
Lanvin for H&M: Highly Anticipated, Boyfriend Won’t Cooperate
Two words: HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED.
I jokingly asked my boyfriend how much he earns in a day so when the BIG day comes, he’ll take the day off (and I’ll pay his wages instead) and run to his nearest H&M store to buy a few things for me. But alas, he cringed at the idea of queueing with hoardes of girls for hours just to get me the pieces I want. Some kind of boyfriend he is…
I want all the t-shirts, the bags, ALL the accessories except for the women’s shoes, ALL the women’s jackets and coats and men’s shoes.
After bagging several magazine covers (British Elle, British Vogue, Swedish Elle, American W), the embellished Miu Miu dress is officially THE dress of the season.
I couldn’t resist slithering my body into this gorgeous purple number when I saw it on the rack at my shoot in Hamburg.
See, this is what I LOOOOOOOOOVE most about my job. I get to play with lovely clothes!!!
Prada Fall Winter 2010 Ad Campaign Behind the Scenes Video
Wow. This is much better than the official ad campaign video. It’s funny how what happens behind closed doors are more interesting than what’s being put out there. Case in point: backstage photos are better than static, runway shots.
The Scene at Chanel Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010-2011
Ahhh Chanel. The crown jewel of haute couture collections. Chanel is Chanel; it’s the grand-daddy of shows in Paris. I squealed with delight when the lovely folks at Chanel asked for my mailing address in Paris. I had no idea what they are about to send me. It could be anything, you know? Mailing list? Promotional material? A new fragrance? Lookbooks? Nope, they sent me my first haute couture show invitation. Although I’ve done the NY/Europe menswear and womenswear circuit for a few seasons, I’m still a couture virgin.
Valentino Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010 Show Invitation
Here's a photo of the Valentino fall/winter 2010 haute couture show invitation I've received.
I've been told it was a front row seat (there were only 2 rows at the show). It's a shame I didn't make it to yesterday evening's show as I had to fly to Berlin in the morning.
