Fashion’s Night Out 2012: Marni

07/09/2012, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style, Marni

How did you celebrate this year’s Fashion’s Night Out? I hosted a cute party at Marni Edition at their Meatpacking District (1 Gansevoort Street) store. DJ Indigo Clarke and Jisoo Hong provided the music and guests were treated with lovely bubbly and nibbles. Finding myself hand out Marni balloons (featuring illustrations by Brian Rea) to shoppers and random passersby was my highlight of the night. Who, afterall, doesn’t like balloons?

Sydney Fashion Ambassadors

29/04/2012, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style, Sydney

Hey ladies — I’m thrilled to be back in Sydney! It’s been four years since my last visit. I’m back in town for this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia as a guest of Destination NSW. The New South Wales Government launched an exciting initiative yesterday afternoon where they picked Australian fashion designers Camilla Franks, Camilla Freeman-Topper, Dion Lee, Rachel Gilbert and shoe designer Terry Biviano, to act as Fashion Ambassadors to show guests, like myself and my friends, Rumi Neely, Candice Lake amongst others, their version of Sydney — where they work, shop, eat, drink and play. I was paired with the lovely Camilla Franks; her work is known for her stunning use of colour and prints.

Replay Jeans Laserblast Launch Milan

24/04/2012, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style, Milan, Replay, Sponsored Content

Replay Jeans debuted their Laserblast‘ collection during Salone del Mobile in Milan last week. Laserblasting is an eco-friendly and safe method of creating distressed denim; a great alternative to the old, not to mention dangerous, way of sandblasting jeans. I went to the launch at Replay’s flagship store at Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

I had lots of fun at the Stefanel brunch the other day here in Milan. It was lovely reuniting with Gala and Eleonora, both of whom I haven’t seen in quite some time.

A Private Dinner With Karl Lagerfeld and Diego Della Valle

15/03/2012, Anna Dello Russo, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style, Hogan, Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld, Diego and Andrea Della Valle invited me to a private dinner at La Maison du Caviar in Paris to celebrate Karl’s collection for Hogan. It was a very intimate affair attended by some of the fashion world’s key players — my beloved Anna dello Russo, Daphne Guinness, Lady Amanda Harlech, Conde Nast’s Jonathan Newhouse, Vogue Editor-in-Chiefs Franca Sozzani, Emmanuelle Alt, Angelica Cheung and Christiane Arp, Glenda Bailey from Harper’s Bazaar, NY Times’ Eric Wilson, Vanity Fair’s Jessica Diehl and more. Katy Perry, in a Balmain dress, was the surprise guest. I had lots of fun at the dinner. I even had the pleasure of trying my seatmate Caroline’s black jade ring. So exquisite and precious, like the owner.

Furla Cocktail Milano

15/03/2012, Events, Fall Winter 2012, Furla, Milan

I thought I’d share more photos from my Milan trip. After the Versace fashion show, I visited the nearby Furla venue once again for their cocktail event. A flute of champagne and a few minutes of dancing is the perfect way to unwind after a long day’s worth of shows and presentations.

Christian Dior Tokyo

15/11/2011, Christian Dior, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style

Aside from the fact that it took me almost half an hour to enter the ultra chic Christian Dior flagship (so lovely meeting my Japanese readers!), the party at Maison Dior was fun, fun, fun! It was lovely seeing my friend Nicola Formichetti and of course, my beloved Yuya Nara (my fave Japanese hair stylist) who DJed at the event.

Hugo Boss Stockholm

14/10/2011, Current Affairs, Events, Fashion and Style, Hugo Boss

After the super chic Bottega Veneta dinner at the Nobis Hotel last night, Elin and I popped by the Hugo Boss flagship store opening in Biblioteksgatan. I’ve been told Adrien Brody, Chloe Sevigny and Noomi Rapace were also there but you know me, I was busy swooning over hot Swedish guys (it’s that kid in the candy store feeling) over American celebs, just kidding. What fun!
