Following the blockbuster Lady Gaga (pink hair) and Rihanna (red hair) covers, how refreshing is Penelope’s US Vogue cover? She wore Dolce & Gabbana throughout the issue. What a natural beauty!

THUMBS UP: Joan Small’s editorial was my favourite. I also love the Novak Djokovic piece. His body is pure perfection. Dasha Shishkin’s feature was a great read. Liu Wen in Prabal Gurung looks glamorous.
THUMBS DOWN: Slightly disappointed with the “America Beautiful” fashion spreads — I liked Karlie and Raquel, Arizona was too practical and Isabeli, for the lack of a better word, looks cheap. Also, Index was very weak.
I’m gonna read the whole magazine soon.

I love the combination of lace against the smooth, sturdy leather of this Dolce & Gabbana fall/winter 2011 shoe.

What a lethal combination!

Razzle dazzle! As I always say my dearest readers… when was the last time you did something for the first time?
Yesterday night was the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit. This year’s exhibition celebrates the legacy and the astonishing work of the late, great Alexander McQueen. It’s my first time to attend such event.

Hat, overcoat, vest, trousers, shoes, bowtie from Dolce & Gabbana
Thank you so much Ms. Wintour for personally giving me the privilege of witnessing such a magical, star-studded evening. I wouldn’t be there without your help.
I took around 2,000 photos last night. I’ll edit and post them as soon as I can.

Many of you have emailed me for more pictures of the sequined shoes I wore the other day. Again, they’re from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall/winter 2011 collection.

Shiny, shimmering, splendid!

Here are more photos of me in that fall/winter 2011 Dolce & Gabbana sequined number. As you already know, I can’t get enough of anything shiny. I love everything that sparkles. It’s time to shine!

This velvet tuxedo, a runway look from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall/winter 2011 collection, was my first option. It’s soo beautiful! It looks great, yes, however, I thought it was a little too warm here in New York to be wearing a velvet tuxedo. Also, the jacket was a wee bit on a small side — I’m wearing a runway sample. It’s sad that I could no longer fit most sample sizes because of my recent weight gain. I need to start eating healthily (in smaller servings and of course, in moderation) and get on with a new exercise program.

Here’s the runway look, courtesy of Vogue.Fr.

I hope someday I’ll have a closet filled with tuxedos and blazers and jackets! It’s never too late to start collecting them.

Can you tell I’m very obsessed? I went through some of the photos I took backstage and front-row at the Dolce & Gabbana fall/winter 2011 show and these sequined leggings have my name stamped on it.

Many of you have been complimenting my new Twitter profile photo. Here are several other images from that day. My boyfriend took them during our trip to Boston in January for the New Year. It was frigid that afternoon…

Dolce & Gabbana’s fall/winter 2011 collection is definitely one of my favourites from Milan last month. It’s refreshing the power duo departed from their usual fare of delectable lace dresses and offered a new dressing proposition for fall: androgynous, gender-bending looks but still with the trademark Dolce & Gabbana tailoring, glitz and dazzle. I salivated over the front row because there were so many desirable pieces from the collection. The first thing I saw when I went backstage before the show was the pair of purple sequined trousers. Stefano Gabbana immediately pointed out they made it in three colors… and when I saw them on the runway during the show, BOOM!, it was a ME ME ME ME ME moment.
