After the Marc Jacobs show, I headed uptown, way up in the Upper East Side, to the super chic home of Nuno and Muriel Brandolini. They hosted an “informal dinner” for Emanuele Della Valle and Lifestyle Mirror. In the world of fashion, “informal” and “intimate” hardly means “informal”, especially when you have guests like my beloved Anna Dello Russo in her Yves Saint Laurent white ostrich number, Giovanna Battaglia, Daphne Guinness, Franca Sozzani, Carlos Souza, Suzy Menkes, Margherita Missoni and a handful of familiar Italians…

My reader Emily emailed me scanned images from German Glamour magazine’s July issue. They cheekily paid tribute to their favourite characters on the Front Row: the Anna trifecta (Wintour, Dello Russo and Piaggi), me, Tavi amongst others. Although I no longer wear heels anymore, I thought the styling was cheeky, approachable and very commercial. And fun!
It’s lovely reuniting with my Milano family. Backstage at Dolce & Gabbana menswear, I saw Sonny and my beloved Stefano. Before the Burberry show, there’s my shiny, shimmering, splendid darling, Anna dello Russo who wore a stunning Dolce & Gabbana dress and glittery Miu Miu fall 2011 shoes.
I wore a fall 2011 Prada shirt, spring/summer 2011 Dries van Noten trousers, shoes from Church’s and bag from Mark Cross.
