Little Gray Riding Hood Likes It Rough

12/10/2012, Acne, Current Affairs, Stockholm

The last few blog entries were kinda fashion-y, I think we need a quick breather. Here’s my take on pedestrian dressing. I feel like this look is so rampant especially amongst young people in big cities where it can get a bit cold. I know I’m probably the last person in the world to wear sweatpants, a white t-shirt, hoodie AND a leather jacket to top it all off. It’s a different look, I agree, but is it comfortable? A little, yes. Is this me? Maybe not. But I like it, nonetheless.

General Bryanboy’s Camoflorage Uniform!

19/03/2012, Acne, Current Affairs, Stockholm

I can see the headlines now — BREAKING NEWS: Fashion Blogger Bryanboy takes a break from the front row to join the Swedish Military! Just kidding! I’m not one to do head-to-toe total looks but a weekend walk to the woods inspired me to dress up for the occasion. Winter is coming to an end so, in spite of the chilly weather, I thought I’d take my new acquisitions out for a quick spin. I picked up a shirt, a hat and a pair of shorts (click HERE) from the Acne store here in Stockholm. I love how the florals form a camouflage effect. It’s all about having a camoflorage moment.

Yellow Fever

09/01/2012, Acne, Current Affairs, Florence, Sonia Rykiel

I love color. I really do. I’ve made it no secret that the older I get, the more I find it difficult to wear black. Speaking of colors, my wardrobe is going through a severe shortage of the color yellow so this Sonia Rykiel oversized fox fur scarf is a great addition to my closet. I love how it’s so big and huge. I love the feeling of my shoulders and upper back are being enveloped by this fuzzy, furry source of warmth.

Newly Minted

07/01/2012, Acne, Current Affairs, Florence

I bought this cute mint knitted sweater from Acne back in Stockholm right after Christmas Day. Thought I’d wear it out during a leisurely day here in Florence. Rumi and I did quick tour of the shops before meeting my BF for lunch. Rumi, who shopped earlier that afternoon in Celine, felt like she “got hit by a bus” after walking out of the store with cool new acquisitions. Hysterical! I, on the other hand, exited most of the stores empty-handed. I’m holding on to my dime, patiently waiting for the new Prada collection to arrive. Lord help me.

Venomous Combination

When in doubt, it doesn’t hurt to go all out. Today’s a good day to wear my new Acne shoes. Snake-on-snake, anyone?

Birthday Boots

22/03/2011, Acne, Fashion and Style, Shoes

It was love at first sight when I saw these snakeskin desert boots at the Acne store in Stockholm. I was planning to buy them before I leave because my good ol’ boyfriend’s shoebox of an apartment is already cluttered with my stuff.

Lo and behold last night, my friend Elin gifted me with these boots. Imagine the delight and surprise!

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

BROdarte versus Acne

BROdarte versus Acne

It’s Sunday 4:55AM and I’m window-shopping around teh interwebs. I saw this interesting knit sweater by Swedish brand Acne. At US$234, I thought the price point ain’t that bad.

Acne Sweater

Compare it to this Rodarte piece from last season. Or was it last, last season? Fashion moves so fast these days I have no sense of time whatsoever.

Rodarte Sweater

In spite of the massive online coverage received by BROdarte a few months back, why am I surprised Opening Ceremony is still selling that piece? Oh yes, the $2,800 price tag. DUH! Ooops, my bad.

Meanwhile, I’ve been told that Rodarte pieces, especially the knits, are hand-made. So…

Point to ponder.
