She’s A Lady

Written By bryanboy

After years of tough and edgy looks inspired by the Emmanuelle Alts and Kate Lanphears (who, btw, I love) of the world, maybe it’s time for young women to dress like ladies once again? Why do most of the cool kids dress as if they’re going into battle? Today’s armor consists of menswear-inspired pieces, tough, protective jackets, heavy, clunky shoes and strong satchels. Don’t you think it’s nice and refreshing to see girls embrace their feminine side? I caught up with my friend Stephanie after the Oscar de la Renta show last night. She looked terrific in her Dolce & Gabbana dress and Miu Miu shoes.

  1. Why do most of the cool kids dress as if they’re going into battle? LOL! so true! Just saw a pic of you at Mr. Schuman’s blog. I think those necklaces are scene-stealers. it’s like a neck party :) Congratulations to your mainstream US appearance! Love the way you didn’t dress so outlandish. but i want to throw those sunnies away from you.

  2. Ive realized that i feel so much tougher, so much more of a trooper, way stronger and more confident when I wear a pretty dress, my long hair nicely made and some cute shoes. Cause thats ME. Im not a tomboy, a Kate Moss-edgy girl or anything like that. I can kick ass in a tutu way better than most rocker chicks can in biker boots.
