AmsterDAMNED
So. New York, Hong Kong, New York again, Hong Kong again, then Singapore. Now we’re going to Stockholm! Hola my dearest readers. I’m back on the blog. I’m currently in Europe for a round of business meetings, contract signings and of course, to try to celebrate Christmas with the BF. I’ve been here for a few days now but I’ve been running around town in subzero temperatures.
Thanks to the insane winter weather, I ended up stranded in Amsterdam last Saturday.

Many of you remember how I spent the night at Schiphol (and my blackberry stolen, thank you very much) due to the ashfall situation earlier this year. Hundreds of European flights got cancelled again because of the snow. With all the money Europe has, why aren’t their airports equippped in handling cold weather conditions? Look at Stockholm, Moscow, Oslo and other cities? They didn’t close their airports. Surely this isn’t the first time Europe got snowed in.
Anyway, instead of weeping inside the airport with fellow frustrated travelers, I went outside to bask in the glory of wintertime and make the most of what I have. After all, this is taste of what I’ll deal with for the next few days (or weeks) to come.
On Sunday morning, after hours on the phone with airline people, I managed to get myself a seat on the first flight out to Stockholm.
All aboard? Let my winter adventure begin…

one of the coolest places to shop in the entire world is in Amsterdam – the United Nude Flagship store at 125 Spuistraat!

Insane winter weather? You should come to canada.
Dear Bryanboy.
Im not writing this in a mad tone, but I live in Europe (Denmark) and since I see the news every single day, and since I live in it, I can tell you that today there has been a snow storm, and it has been the worst in the last 30 years! The european airports aren’t prepared for that kind of weather, and the conditions all over europe is horrible! A lot of people is still stock in airports and on train stations, and they WONT get home in time for christmas :(
I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been for you and everybody else, but I just had to tell you that it isn’t because Europe is so bad at this, but sometimes you just can’t fight the weather :(
I have always wanted to live somewhere where it snows. Then, this like this happen and I change my mind!
at least you brought a gorgeous fur!

Welcome to the Netherlands!
I love the snow but sometimes it gets annoying when you realize as you go outside, you do not have the proper warm attire in the fashionable outfit.
honestly, we’re not really used to this, we’ve only had this kind of winters with snow for the last 2 years! so no, we’re not prepared for -12°C, we’re just not equiped. sorry!
Oh my god, I love near Amsterdam :D
I live in the Netherlands myself, and I really think they could have been more prepared, cause last year we had the same problem, so after a year they must know it right?
Well, too bad you were only a night in Amsterdam!
Would love to meet you in person!
Happy holidays! (:
