Hear it From Alber Elbaz – Lanvin for H&M Collaboration
This is truly a dream come true. The Lanvin x H&M collaboration is going to be released in 200 stores worldwide on November 23, 2010.
“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

I think that H&M has great ideas but poor execution. The clothing truly is disposable. I hope the collaboration doesn’t tarnish Lanvin’s name.

I have always loved Lanvin ! I have never really afford any (only drooled over at the Nathalie Schuterman in Stockholm). I’m not quite sure ow it will look, but I really hope they will be more refined than the others collaborations with H&M…

Truly, two companies could barely be more apart… Lanvin is quality & chic, H&M is disposable clothing. I do mix both when I dress but I wonder what the mash-up will look like!
