Dutch model sensation Lara Stone and David Walliams of Little Britain are engaged. Yes, Lara Stone is getting married!
Lara Stone somewhat reminds me of the iconic Kate Moss… always photographed with a drink or a ciggie.
They both broke the modeling molds during their time — Kate was credited for bringing in "heroin chic" because of her slender and petite frame and then you have the ferocious and busty Lara, a standout amongst the sea of overstarved, Eastern bloc skeletors.
I love this sort of news. Seriously.
When you think about it, models become even BIGGER entities than they are if they venture outside the fashion 'box'. In order to become a supermodel/household name, you need to date a famous man who is always on the spotlight — an actor, a musician, a sports figure, whatever. Look at most of the supermos — Naomi, Kate, etc.
Do you guys get my drift?

I don’t particularly care about Lara’s love life; she’s a model not a star. On the subject of Lara Stone’s inverted nipples: While she is a great example of a modern model who does NOT exude anorexia, her breasts are not beautiful. The aesthetic allure of erect plump nipples atop large pale areolae is much more lovely! Inverted nipples scare me, to the point of distaste. Ick!! What do you do with those?
totally agree with the bit about models dating famous men to become bigger names…gisele, naomi, kate, cindy………and now miranda kerr who’s body i envy but try as much as i do to like her, i just can’t seem too. she doesn’t have the likability factor about her unlike other model(i.e. Gisele,Adriana, Bruna T, Lakshmi , Anna S, and Yulia K).

I don’t know whether to be happy or upset.
Lara’s about to get married? Whatever. I’m indifferent to this kind of news. But I’d like to comment about the whole model-turns-Supermodel thing.
I personally do not want the return of Supermodel. First, because I think we already have too much celebrity, too many people have been talked about over TV and the Internet, even if each had only been hot for two weeks or so on the spotlight.
Second, because no model could stay Super for long anymore. We have discovered so much new talents, so much new faces, new vibe, and, inevitably, new short-term celebrities. I think it’s a waste to put someone on the pedestal, make her Super, just for the good old glamour days back in the 1990′s (a la Naomi and friends).
So, if Lara’s marrying a popular face, let’s be happy for her and treat her normally, like a friend of ours who just got married.
Oh I precisely love the fact that she’s getting engaged to someone like him! That keeps her edgy. Love it!
