Russia's Got Talent – was it real? [video]

Russia’s Got Talent

A friend sent me a link to this video. I had to stop watching the video halfway when I read the comments — something about one of the guys getting a life sentence in jail because of it.

I don’t want to watch the ending. Yes, I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll leave it up to you.

The question is… was it real? Or a viral marketing campaign for an energy drink?

  1. There’s absolutely nothing Russian about it. Their names are not in Russian and they’re probably just copypasted together. There’s no such city as “Kieva”, there’s only Kiev and it’s in Ukraine. There is no such channel in Russia; there is no such show in Russia — a licensed version of “[..] got talent” was called “5 minutes of glory” in Russian; the sign hanging on the “stage” says “TALENT”, not “ТАЛАНТ”. The only part of this clip that is remotely Russian are those captions that say “Brother Respectful, Kieva”, and the whole thing seems like a home-made comedy sketch, which wasn’t even intended to be Russian.

After playing 3 times, it was fake. A good one, though. No blood spewed seconds after the shot (since the heart is still beating anyway).
I am about to sleep and I must admit I’m not sleepy anymore after seeing it. My heart skipped a beat for a moment there.

  3. I know this ain’t real… but i still HOPE that it is. ^^
I’d be so much delighted to know if it really happened. Oh the joy!
Yes, i meant every word i said.

  4. Yes but there will NOT be blood even IF the heart is still beating because the arrow hasnt yet been removed. Ive seen a gunshot to someone s head and there was a geyser of blood because there is an immediate hole. Still…i hope this was fake.
