My great grandmother recently died, and I know that was not easy, but I am somewhat comforted by the fact that she is no longer pained by her physical existence. From what I’ve read about your grandma, you should take some comfort in her final transition from a pained existence in the presence of her loved ones, to a peaceful one in the memories of those who loved her. Remember her as she was in her days of joy, and not as she was in her days of suffering; treasure your moments with her as she was in her days of lucidity, as well as those you spent taking care of her, as she once took care of you, in her days of frailty. Humans are a dying race.
