The Associated Press reports:
NEW YORK (AP) — Three people were arrested and six others hurt Saturday after bedlam broke out while they waited to audition for “America’s Next Top Model,” police said.
Police didn’t know what prompted the chaos involving hundreds of people outside the Park Central New York hotel in Manhattan. The panic left the street outside the hotel littered with shoes and clothing, according to news reports.
“It was pretty scary,” Jessica Paravati told WNYW-TV. She said she was caught up in a stampede after waiting on line overnight, hoping for a shot at stardom on the reality show.
Insane. Absolutely insane! Why do these people want to be America’s Next Top Model when you can be supermodel of the universe like me? Just kidding. Why rely on Tyra? If you think you have the looks (good luck with that Dolly), the figure and the personality, why not do it on your own? Go to Models.com, research all the modeling agencies, take photos and send it to them?
As for me, well, I need to lose weight.
People like to have it all, the easy way. And joining a reality contest to fulfill one’s dream is definitely like an answered prayer to all those hopefulls. Being in a reality show, whether you win or loose will still give you exposure and it’ll be easier for you to go to go-sees and “top” modeling agencies, because you have the advantage.
So the tinsel world has enticed so many ? My God, they can be best described as insane. Yep, truly insane !

That’s the deal, any potential real models would go straight to an agency, but these people want the fame.. don’t blame them really, because it makes great entertainment..
Isn’t tht show a career killer anyway? my bf’s ex is on that show… i don’t get why she’s so obsessed with it! i’m jealous, but at least i can admit it. I’m not jealous that she is on the show though… more so because people ALL over the internet are talking about her. It is driving me nuts!
