My Fair Lady (starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harisson) has the WORST movie ending ever!!!! Bah. I’m so disappointed!!!

My Fair Lady, Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison

Oh and Ralph Lauren 40th anniversary is dat chu?

I’m going to bed now. It’s 3:35AM I have so many things to do tomorrow later today.

  1. Hey BryanBoy,
    a) I absolutly adore you, and you’re simply the only person I know that will agree with me that it’s perfectly reasonable to spend 3k on a bag.
    b) I doubt you care about this, but Audrey Hepburn isn’t actually singing in this movie. Julie Andrews was cast for the role, but she was busy doing Mary Poppins at the time.
However, Marni Nixon is dubbing Audrey Hepburn’s voice. She also sang Maria in the movie verson of West Side Story as well as Anna in The King and I.
As a vocal performance major, I thought I would let you know that. I’ve done this show, and I LOVED the Ascot scene. The hats, the clothes-EVERYTHING was so much fun.
Well. Have a nice new year filled with Chanel, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, and Balenciaga.

  2. NOOOO.I think Sabrina had the worst ending. Well, only because i didn’t like Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart’s tandem. Although now that I think about it, Rex Harisson and Audrey?? A little too old for the girl don’t you think?? :))

  3. I saw my fair lady 2 weeks ago. Well actually all the Audrey Hepburn movies I hadn’t seen before ^-^
    Didn’t like the end either!

  4. hah, I watched My Fair Lady for the first time at the Ahmanson Theatre in LA (never watched in movie form). I agree…such a terrible ending. If you watch more classic movies, you’ll notice that they all end SUDDENLY, without explanation (try Gigi). It is, however, a very cute movie. :) and the live production was maaaahvelous.
I’m sure Ralph Lauren was inspired by the fashion in this movie and that era! :)
