Also, Tim Gill, founder of Connexion.org announced today a $100,000 matching contribution to the No on Proposition 8 campaign. He will match all contributions dollar for dollar to protect same-sex marriage in California. Gill said “Proposition 8 needs all of our support to be defeated and protect marriage for gays and lesbians not just in California, but across the country. This amendment would eliminate the equal treatment of all Californians and write discrimination into the state constitution.”

I am a democrat, but did you know that Obama is against gay marriage? It’s crazy!
I don’t like to talk about politics in polite company and consider myself a republican. wait for it, because I hold myself up to the ideals I associate with it, but as time has gone on i’ve seen all the wrong things in the conservative wing. Why support a party who can’t live up to it’s own ideals? if republicans are going to be discriminating against a gay citizens rights and benefits from those associated with marriage ‘because god condemns it’ then they shouldnt be breaking the vow of marriage underneath airport bathroom stalls! I’m good friends with a VERY conservative catholic, who barely watches television, does a ton of charity work, is very selfless and even they think they would rather people have the choice than be forced to live a certain way so they can truly know who they’re surrounded by.
