  2. I don’t speak/read Russian so I’m not sure what’s written there but I assume these dolls were made for Vogue Russia’s 10th year anniversary therefore you cannot buy them. :(

    Had these been done before we reprinted “The Art of the Russian Matryoshka” — the definitive book on the history, villages, fabrication, styles, and artists of the matryoshka — we would have beaten down doors to get photos of them in the book. Next printing, perhaps.
    Congratulations to Vogue on 10 years in Russia.
    But BIG congratulations to matryoshki on 110 years in Russia.
