i just watched the avantgarde challenge and i must say, mara shud have been eliminated!!! she DID NOT make a dress! u see, widout the black suit inside it’s NOTHING! i loved JAZ’s work more. promise! she doesnt even know how to sew! no self confidence either! she shud have been gone since the 1st elimination! dress her up please! she’s too “feel at home” with her big shirts and tied up hair. maybe she cud use the glue she used before during one of the challenges. haha… im just very disapointed. i love IVAN even more! i hate aries too!

Eeww I sooo hate it.. So "Pinoy"... And I so fucking hate the judges. Visqueux! Servile! Affreux!

here's the runway show i found at youtube

SI MARA PWEDENG ARTISTA!

i really love the show. lord was out-suddenly his ship had sunk. i like the wonderful creation of mara and jaz very hiphop and fit for sarah meier. i think winnie also have a potential. i really really love the show and im watching it evry thursday 2 etc\.

i didn't notice that was mara reyes of swathe. they have lots of nice stuff, especially the handpainted shirts which are quite cheap. check her out at swatheclothing.multiply.com

i feel sorry for loida but its true her design wasnt that good..

I'm speechless...
Poor Loida!!!!
Are you going to be a judge?

I don't think Filipinos are ready yet for this show...the designs are BLEH and provincial!!! Wtf. No taste at all!!! Its obvious that the designers aren't brought up in affluence and excellent education to imbibe the culture of good taste that can NEVER be learned -

even in episode 1 i couldn't understand why philip got the comments which he got (from rajo in particular). his work was creative and clean even then. with episode 2, obviously, he's one of the better designers. compared to the other designers, his work stands out. some of the others' work are really amateurish.

i was upset that loida got voted off first i felt really bad. it seems like veejay already has made pretty much a name for himself and i dont think he should be on the show. i didn't see any problem with mara using glue on her dress. chances are if she had more time she'd find another way for it to work, but if anything she seemed very resourceful and made thing work.

i've also checkd out her other works on the web via google. www.swatheclothing.com it's actually really refreshing streetware.

jiggy mayuga is the sex.

it was ok.. but what the hell kind of fashion school is that, i mean, portable sewing machines?? LOL.

I'm still solid BB no matter what. I hope that all the judges plus host will loosen up a bit just like the contestants. During the first episode, it was only Rajo who stood out.

Veejay, Winnie and Eli came from College of Saint Benilde...

Enroll now.. hahahaha!!!

Thanks BB for the videos.

Clear indication that the Neu rave streetwear bullshit craze has in fact finally hit the philippines. Uh oh.

Aries happens to be my kababata...
My gawd, ang layo na ang inabot niya.

i feel bad for loida. i find aries a tad too boastful. it's bad that he knows he's too talented and his design is so not for the philippines. Yes, it's great but not for our humid climate. And his english... Gawd...

i absolutely LOVED veejay's dress but he has more in backstage store in serendra. i thought this show was for the amateurs...anyway, i have to agree with mans. ava's was just...:| come on, striped socks? i mean..i'm sure they're the 3 for 100 kind.

I was pleasantly surprised by the debut episode. It is a far cry from the failed enterprise known as Philippines' Next Top Model. Whereas PNTM lacked sizzle due mainly to contestants' lack of personality, ProjRun Phil offers a poo poo platter of divergent characters who are not afraid to speak their mind.

As far as talent goes, it is not very different from the UK and US versions. There are only a handful of skilled contestants of whom, give or take a Mara or Ava, a spot in Fashion Week is guaranteed. And whether or not you agree with Kaiser Karl and Michael Patrick King that ProjRun is not "real" fashion is a whole 'nother issue.

Totally agree with the other comments, BB should be invited as a judge!

to mommy: lol ano ba!! i'm not really tv material. lol.

I still believe you ahould have been invited to be one of the judges. No one knows creativity and fashion like you do. Wonder why no fashion editor was invited to be part of it.

Loved the contestants...loved Rajo....very pinoy!

Thanks for posting this BB. I am a fan of Project Runway and the Filipino version is interesting enough for me to watch. Too bad, the older lady got booted first but it was kinda obvious that the show is gear towards the young. Mara's glue dress was tacky and should've gone first. So now I will add Philippines' Project Runway on my list to watch on YouTube.

yep i also saw the photo that secret-lee was referring to in the movie, a very special love. it was shown several times actually. i think it was cut out from a magazine.

Schedule:
Wednesday 10:00PM
Reruns:
Thursdays 9:00AM
Saturdays 8:00PM and 12:00MN
Sundays 2:30PM
Mondays 9:00AM and 11:00PM

secret-lee: i have absolutely no idea who sarah geromino is and i don't understand why my picture would be in it because i've never authorized my picture to be used in a movie.

i think i just saw ur picture at the sarah geronimo movie! ahhaha baduy much?:D

I feel like almost everything that went down the runway was either inspired by the whole nu-rave thing, lots of colors, etcetc that kind of wackadoo-bullshit which is so passe. All I'm sayin' is that people have seen it already. I would've loved to see more variety and more personality on the designs of the garments that walked down that runway.

And some of the designers are just so too into themselves, I think Mara's bangs got in the way of her eyes that she didn't even know that she's making a new-rave poncho dress monstrosity. Whatevs, good luck on that spin-off show.

i didnt think the production values were so bad. I liked how it actually made manila look very cosmopolitan and un third world.

I like the show. I thought the green dress should have gone. Loida should have stayed.

OMG Jake lol. yeah for some reason filipinos mix English in when they speak in Tagalog. it's called Taglish

I think mara had the best and original silhouette.

Veejay - OK but overwrought

Aries - so 2 years ago.

I feel bad for Loida. That Mara girl cant sew to save her life. She should have been the one to go IMO. However, the challenge was to show their supposed personality....oh whelps!

Ivan Raborar... t'boli girl rocks...

hot, young... regal...

well...while the production was kind of bad, I found myself liking the designers, but not the judges. The designs were surprisingly good.
Why do the switch out of English like that? Is that the way people speak?

its definitely different from the western Project Runways..

Hopefully this is better than the American season. Holla at yo boy.

i'm happy they have reruns. it's every..i forgot. it's on fashpack's blog. funny thing is, i saw the announcement of this first via nymag! (i think it's way better than pnfreakingtm....)

OMG, while on the surface it looks like the US version the production values are horrible. The camera work, angles, audio quality of the voice overs are plain bad. I watched three minutes and thought it came across like a college project. The fashion, well it looks to be standard Project Runway fare.

That mara girl is obviously into the face hunter and all that trendy streetwear shebang. It looks like it's straight off the scandi style blogs and what she said omg icelandic bernhard willhelm shit.... ugh. She's so trendy i kind of don't like it. I'm sensing more neu rave from her.

what are you talking about? mara's was the best. deff thinking outside of the box. sooo much ahead than everyone else.

everything else looked like it came out of a shopping mall.... step your game up philippines.... & gap-toothed ava's piece was the worst... and take your sunglasses off. who you trying to impress. lol

mara for the win!

Veejay and Aries' dresses were the best.

I think Mara's was the worst.
