Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage Lys Bag

Monogramouflage, Louis Vuitton’s latest collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, is now available at Louis Vuitton Philippines. They remind me of the monogram denim they did a few years ago. I saw some of the bags at the store and as much as they look cute, I have decided they are not for me.

I think that line will date very quickly. It’s not like the denim or the graffiti; this is too bold. I think it was wise no to buy it because this is that kind of piece which will be out the moment you leave the shop with it.

Hello Bryan. I really enjoy your blog, but haven’t felt the urge to comment until I read this post. I was surprised that you declared that the LV camo bag was not for you. But I was even more intrigued about your preference for structured purses. Please do tell–which ones are you loving this season? Take care. Thanks.

I’m sorry to let you all down,
but I own the lys bag and its fantastic.
I don’t care that it will go out of fashion next season, cause its THE most wanted bag for now!
Plus, its one of the most handy bags I have.
Lots of pockets, its a shoulder bag, rathen than an inconvient tote. And as I usually leave my bags wherever, I don’t care if it gets dirty. I can wash it!
Apart from that, camo is a timeless pattern, although a bit “cheap”. I am glad Louis Vuitton was smart enough to upgrade it!
But I have to admit that I am not that fond of the non-denim accessories of the monogramouflage series…
