Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 Haute Couture
Y'all should get down on your knees and worship me because I just got hold of a copy of the fall/winter 2009-2009 Christian Dior haute couture soundtrack! Amazing amazing amazing! I just know I'm gonna play this on my ipod for weeks. Perfect for mincing!

Click here (or right-click + save as) to download the file.
I still need to figure out the track titles. The first song they used was "Aquarius" by Dutch group Within Temptation and the last one was "Lights Go Down" by Basement Jaxx which I *love*. I'll forever be indebted if you guys can name the 2nd to the last track though. To be quite honest, the good shit starts at 08:53 so fast forward and listen to that.

Here's the full-length video for your viewing pleasure. I love the opening number. Holy sophistication batman, look how that piece swings with every step. Gorgeous!

Part 2 of the video. This is what I love the most... look at those breath-taking ballgowns. Soo dreamy and light! OMG STUNNING! Keep an eye out for the last girl who tripped a few times...

I really LOVE the show but that Georgina girl should get a little slap on the wrist for not being able to navigate in her dress. I mean COME ON! Her precious gown (albeit too perilous to walk in) is soo gorgeous, she's absolutely pretty and fierce, the soundtrack is soo beautiful, the emotions and drama are so high and man, she had the chance to WERRRRRRKKKK IT to the extreme (it's couture for fuck's sake AND she's closing the show!!!) but no, homegirl tripped a few times. She wiggled and wobbled through the VERY END! Awww Georgina! Tsk tsk.

I dunno. Perhaps they really should leave the final girl spot to veteran walkers. Even my fave (and the severely UNDERRATED) Alexandra Agoston WERKED IT and boy she WERKED good. She's absolutely flawless.

A few more pics for you...

Check out the shoes...

Take a bow, big papi John and congratulations!

That's all.
Mwah mwah!

Thanks for the downloadable soundtrack (however did you manage to find that?) and thanks to the person for listing all the songs used; I emailed Dior once to ask what some runway songs were but they never got back to me!

BTW, for the show, the Sugar Daddy (Classical Remix) was what was used. I guess there's a couple versions of the song. So love it!

the girls didn't seem to follow any particular style of posing at the end of the runway. some of them worked it but the rest just turned around without giving much shit. i.e. hye park, who bores me to death in most cases. it's dior couture for crying out loud!

hated the finale dress... looks cheap... but everything else rocked.... particularly the ballgown before Agoston... very chic and feminine... i only see a bit of Galliano in this collection, i think he went through the Dior archives and pulled out the classics... but it does not detract from how truly beautiful the collection is... except for the last dress.... and are cloche hats coming back??? omg, time to raid nana's closet...

I saw the shoes and my mind said "PUT*NG NA!" I'll worship the dust those women tread on with those shoes. (Cute they really are to say the least but but but they must be freakin' painful!)

The second song is called Under Ice and it's by Kate Bush, I think.
I think the first half of the show was the best one. Again, it's not reaaaaally Galliano, it's not what you expect from him, but it's very precise and beautiful. In the first half you could really see the expert cut of the pieces and amazing craftsmanship.
Georgina tripped 3 times, I think. I do agree with you, the final exits should be rocked by good walkers. Only the first exits should be left for new faces.

The shoes reminds me of Christian Louboutin's Anemone Stilettos.
