Melbourne 2AM Lockout Protest

I've never been to Melbourne but it's one city I must visit SOON.

Anyhoo. I don't know about you but I'm against any city that imposes a 2AM curfew (to curb violence) on nightlife venues such as bars, pubs and clubs. 2AM? You have GOT to be kidding me. How barbaric is that? Thank god we have some freedom here in my lovely city in the third world. Hello! A lot of venues here are dead empty before midnight and they don't close until the sun comes up! I can't even remember the number of times over the years that I've stumbled out of the club, foaming in the mouth at 7AM, sunglasses and all.

Thank god I live in a developing nation where most shopping places close at 10PM (including weekends), where restaurant kitchens are still open at 10:30PM (unlike in Sydney) and where clubs don't close until the following morning.
