When Anna Wintour says jump… JUMP!

Model on a pogo stick! The trampoline is Vogue’s favourite showjumper Caroline Trentini’s best friend. I hate to say this but I do kinda feel sorry for her in a way, because for the most part, all she does is jump, leap, jump in a studio for every issue of Vogue for the past god knows how long now. Is this some sort of a conspiracy? Is Conde Nast on the verge of bankruptcy hence all these Caroline Trentini studio jump shots? The drag queens at Jezebel did a hilarious Caption Caroline entry last month. Does Conde Nast NOT have a budget to send Caroline off somewhere? Why do I have a feeling all these studio jumping shots were taken like once or twice this year and then Vogue published all the photos by spreading em out in various issues as they see fit?

Anna Wintour definitely went for the showjumping kill on this one. This editorial, from the November 2006 issue of American Vogue, featured 16 pages, yes, 16 different shots of Caroline Trentini jumping in front of the camera.

Amazing eh? I’m sure I missed a few issues here and there but I already spent far too much time researching this. You really have to hand it out to American Vogue. It takes a heck of a lot of guts to be consistent while giving show jumping a "new" twist month after month after month.
