Mauricio sent me an mp3 of this track, Soy tu Venus, and I can't stop playing it! BEST SONG EVER! OMG I love these ladies -- yes, they're ladies! Old women at that. I thought they were drag queens at first and then I found out that they're actually disco queens in the 70s. Check out the live version on this video clip. Ignore all the swedish mumbo jumbo on the first minute and hit fast forward. Heck, check them out strip in the end!!! You won't regret it, I swear. In fact, this is a feel-good song. It brought back a few memories from the past the first time I heard it, like the time I went to this place called Amanpulo here in the third world with an ex and then like we just went on the beach late at night with 3 bottles of dom in tow. We got soo drunk, we danced on the beach, under the full moon, just the two of us. Bah. Anyway, yeah, the violiny-thingie reminds me of Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2007!  John Galliano should dress these queens STAT! Play it a few times and you'll be hooked, like me!
