John’s Back!
It’s about time Mr. Galliano come into senses and bring out the glitter, the spectacle and extravaganza. His recent pret-a-porter shows are utterly crap and sedated. Dior’s been completely unappealing the past few seasons I couldn’t help but wonder whether he lost his touch.
Guess who came out with alien invasion as a theme this season?
I hereby present you John Galliano for Queen Amidala Collection/Christian Dior Haute Couture.

More pics after the jump.

Take note the lack of handbag in all of the ensembles. Who needs a handbag when a light sabre is clearly THE accessory du jour this season?
All hail Queen Amidala, John Galliano and their intergalactic chu chu insanity.

the dresses in the third picture are gorgeous! i defintely agree with whoever said they were reminiscent of alice in wonderland. i would give my right arm to go to a galliano couture show, it’s so rediculously over the top.
Sorry about the triple posting yesterday… my browser didn’t show it online the first time… >_<
Love, love, love the blue dress!
Too bad we can’t use it on the streets. Or can we?
The second-to-last picture she looks like an artichoke. And the last picture looks like an Edward Gorey drawing. Neither make me want to get dressed.
i wonder if Pat McGrath did the makeup, she is so creative
his clothes are pieces of art – it looks like he might have gotten some of his inspiration from alice in wonderland. i love all his shows – he tries to recreate stories and places in history through his clothing in his own strange style and i love it.
ugly turnip dress in that collection :S
please visit if you can :)

bryanboy, your pre-fab days covered in acne picture on the navigation panel is atrocious. it gives me nightmares and everytime i go to your site that is the first thing that loads. can you please, for the love of god remove that damn thing?
My favourite is the Dior fall/winter haute 2005 where John Galliano resurrected Dior’s ‘New Look’ and sent out models wearing dance dresses inspired by the Quenchua women of Peru. Queen Amidala had better outfits than this year’s haute collection I’m afraid.
I think no handbags because the new in thing is to have pockets in all dresses. Go figure.
It’s so… colorific! But will it sell, or does it really matter… quite the signiture elements.
Here in the ‘states the rabid talk radio jocks were comparing Mr North Korea to a salamander lizard all day… one in platform footwear etc. Just hilarious!
And Ben (yeah, he’s an escort, get over it) is back online with some nice pics and funny stories, worth a look:

oops, click the online journal!
of course the stuff isn’t wearable – its haute couture! ;]
I love all of Galliano’s shows though..he never ceases to amaze me with what he comes up with.
Not feeling the green thing but I like the red and blue dresses. Especially the blue one – it’s perfect for some otherworldly debutante.

this shit sucks..the last amazing couture show he did was fall 2004. everything after that was just downhill.
hello!…like that is no so wearable!!!
tt’s d whole point of Haute Couture! its unwearable in daily life but who will flock down to see a galliano show if the models r wearing wearable shirts and jeans? the “intergalactic chu chu insanity” sells:)
im not a fan of galliano’s dior but his own shows r usually hot. usually:)
seriously??? who would wear those crap??? the ensemble is hideous! less is still and will always be more..
